4. If they do remove/disable vendors, what happens to the stuff on the vendors. 500+ items in the stock room. Stock room only lasts for a week, and you only have 150 inventory in a house, 100 on your person with a backpack, 100 in the bank. So where does the rest go??? (Disabling the vendor will have the stuff go from the vendor to the stock room in 30 days, and then you have the same problem). Allowing the vendors to sell the items, gives you the same problem as before that people will take up Merchant, stock a vendor, drop it, and wait for the vendor to empty.

Emproress,

You better start planning now. You know this change is most likely coming. Either buy back enough merchant skills now, or start reducing you inventory.

And quite frankly, your whining is starting to annoy me.

10. TEF. Did you even think about TEF. Tailors are going to have a nightmare. They need to be inside a building to use a crafting station. Handing something to another player to try on, to match colors, etc...is going to be a nightmare with the person getting TEF, or the Tailor getting TEF and kicked out of the house. Vendors were nice ways to pass items to customers without getting booted from the house. (Again your change is affecting other professions, and forcing professions to use Merchant.)

Welcome to my world. As a smuggler, I cannot slice weapons for overt faction members. Here is a clue, tell your customers to go covert before they come shopping for cloths.

Looks like I learn something new every day. I could have taken business 3 and placed a vendor, then dropped the skill points?!?. Then I could have gotten 2 exploits in one. The ability to use a vendor without having skill points invested. And the ability to trade across factional borders. Go figure.

Give me the message post that states this. Until it's stated it's part of the game design, which you guys just don't like. HOWEVER it's part of the game design, and integrated into the economy of the game, so much so that the removal of it, will cause economic collaspe. And the number of people in the merchant profession wanting the change is not enough to justify it.

Well that reasoning is rather dumb...and yes their are mercants out their..I belong to a completly crafter PA (well acually we do a lot of combat also lol) and we have streets with vendors on them their out their.

As for dropping tailor and using the schematics..if u log out they should disappear...and if u did this it would also be called exploiting. otherwise Hologrinders would be the richest people around because they can make and sell everything

She is talking about manufactoring schematics. They are often supplied as evidence that you can give up any crafting profession and keep practicing it. The problem with the analogy is that schematics are very limited and they don't have a skill requiement to use in the first place. (Unlike Vendors which do have a skill requirement). Anyone can buy a manufactoring schematic and make items in the factory the work was in creating the manufactoring schematic in the first place.

And I seriously doubt any on the dev team ever said "Yea they can take merchant..get everything set up then drop it and get it again if they want to chagne anything"

The truth is probablymore like ".. you know you can surrender the skills and keep using these vendors... Yea, I know but we don't have time to worry about it now..."

I personally agree with Ms. Anneke Rose. By her saying "Your in a world of hurt." was referenced to the drastic drop in this games popularity (resulting in drop in stock), in this games recent months. I think personally there have been a lot of bad "NERFS". This is just one thats going to effect the economy of the galaxies, now i don't know if you know much about real economies, but events like this don't work. I personally think the events that will occur from this NERF will likely look a lot like popularity, and will only get worse.

I know many people who have already gave up on this game for "how poorly it was though out". Its a GREAT and I do mean GREAT idea gone BAD. I know with the way the MMORPG market is going I know a lot of people, including myself, will have no problem put down SWG, and picking up one of the many anticipated titles coming out in the near future/present. I think they need to make a good look at what they have been doing and how people are really taking it.
