Thanks for all the replies and help in game folks, it really makes me think the Merchant Community is one of the best in the game.

As to the CSR ticket, I lodged one and got a response back basically saying "sorry to hear about your loss etc.etc." Funnily enough I sent back a message saying thanks for responding so quickly and I can appreciate what you have said about the interface with a special thanks to CSR BeverlY for her very nice manner and tone of her communication ( I believe in complimenting good customer service). Another CSR replied witha similarSorry to hear about your loss, but you can't be compensated relpy again

I think they aren't used to getting compliments

definatly not a bug...well atleast it doesnt seem so...but i wouldnt say you are stupid either...lol cause that would mean id have to admit to being stupid too...this happened to me as soon as i got the chance to put an npc vendor up...took off half the items, then realized...oh hey they share the stockroom! i dont need to do this!...yeah i was wrong...lol ol' bulky..or the sprite machine (hehe i like this) ate all of the stuff i had left on there...

Definitely not a stupid mistake. I did the same thing when I started, which of course doesn't mean it's not stupid, but at least that shows that you are not alone. It is extremely confusing and poorly explained.

The weird thing is that, when it happened to me back in september, the items reappeared in the stockroom the day after, I was just never able to retrieve them.

Hope the CSR helps, and I hope it's gonna get fixed eventually.
