You guys sound like battered wives or suffering from Stockholm Syndrome...
Perhaps this is the long drought and finally the first few drops of rain, with the promose of a deluge of change to come, but from my naive Merchant eyes, you got jack comming from this patch.
Please FIX one thing on Merchant, generate XP from SALES.
The horror of passive xp generation, I might as well not play for a month and come back when I have a skill box.

Actually, I kind of agree that Merchant exp should be linked somehow to sales. I hate the idea of all the crafters who just keep up an empty droid vendor to get onto the planetary map, but do all their real sales in person.
Bazaar sales ought to give a little Merchant exp,perhaps proportional to price. Also,I think a vendor should only give exp if it is selling something. Though I agree with Draznar that making that a big factor would be an exploit haven.
