I just kept destroying the vendor and creating a new coke machine until it would work... which finally initalized.

I actually had this problem on 3 of my vendors (I love the Standard terminal vendor) when I initially placed them.

Once I found out I had the bug, I removed the vendor. I then placed a NPC vendor in the house, initialized it, and it worked. I then removed that one, and placed a standard terminal vendor again, initialized it, and it worked everytime.

I think finally found another work around for this bug.

After selecting "initialize vendor" on the radial menu, you get a message the vendor has been initialized (or words to that effect. Don't believe the message. GO BACK TO THE SAME RADIAL MENU AND, IF THE OPTION IS AVAILABLE, SELECT INITIALIZE VENDOR FROM THE MENU A SECOND TIME. Eventually the menu option will disappear (it has always worked on the second try for me) and the vendor will work properly.

If you do anything else before you try the second "initialize vendor" command, the menu option will also disappear without the vendor actually initializing and you will need to remove the vendor.

WARNING: I discovered this work around 30 minutes ago so I don't know if it keeps the vendor from vanishing.Don't put too many items or credits on it until your'e confident the vanishing vendor bug doesn't eat your stuff!!!

Good luck all . . .

A friend of mine had that problem with coke machines and re-created their vendor to use at least two words in the name. Had no problems than.

Me nor no one else can access 2 of my 4 vendors. Just keeps on trying to open and nothing happens. This needs to be addressed.

Dont know whether its just luck but I'm finding that if I initialise the vendor before paying maintenance into it, it seems to work fine.If I pay maint first I cannot get it to initialise, even though it says it is on the status window.
