Thread: Vendor Search Doesnt Seem Like A Good Idea For Some Merchants Anymore..

I will tell you that I don't use the Vendor Search at to set my prices. I have my own idea what they are worth and I adjust my pricing based on the speed in which the products move. If they product moves incredibly fast I raise my prices slowly until it doesn't move as fast. If it is moving slow I will drop the priceses slightly until the product starts to move again. If it is a very rare item I set a price and just leave it..eventually someone will find it and buy it.

My prices aren't the lowest on the server. In some cases they maybe be higher than most. I don't care as long as the product sells.

I have found that the venodr search did not impact me positively or negatively. In fact, I daisabled the option on my vendors as it simply did not do me any good. Most of my purcahses come from people who find me on the planetary map. As a buyer I do not use vendor search but prefer going to a planet and using the planetary map. It is simply the way i prefer to shop.

I definitely am listed on the GVS. I figure I have to although I wouldn't say most of my sales were from it. A lot of my sales are from word of mouth. I do have the advantage of having really old vendors.

Most people in the game don't know anything about the search system.

Yeah probably. My informal survey after the search was put in still had most of my sales from word of mouth.

i love the vendor search! when i was looking for adhesives(after they stopped dropping) and there were only 3 in the galaxy, do you know how long that would have taken to find by just looking around?
