I believe vendor order is listed by age of the vendor.

I made a vendor for JtL a month before the launch and just put a note in it that said check back after JtL launches. Sure enough, that vendor lists first under Ships for my planet. Ever notice that when you replace vendors the new vendors drop to the bottom of the vendor list?

I think it works just like the items listed on the vendor itself...oldest stuff first. You can test this by grabbing something you know to be pretty old and plopping it on the vendor, it'll jump to the first page right away.

I'm with Doc on this, I don't go down the list and visit each one, I go down the list and find the ones closest to the area I am in..then go to those ones.

I've never paid attention to the vendor list to be honest, half the time I don't even notice the names. I just click on it to see where it is
