Thread: New Vendor limit on items is WAY TOO LOW!

This has my vote. If everybody posts and posts and posts, someone out there has to listen.

I have to agree. My post count tonight alone has jumped.

I would say EVERYBOD NEEDS TO post and scream in EVERY post on this forum...squeeky wheel gets the oil...
if everyone post randomly just hoping the devs will listen, you will wear out your correspondent. do you want someone to talk to the devs for you, or not?
The dev's DO listen to screaming...plain and simple...rational calm talking will get us NOWHERE...I have been around long enough to know that with this game.

So...you are suggesting we don't post? Or that we only post in one thread? I don't understand.
I've posted in the thread that DocSavag wanted everyone to post in. I'm going to continue to post (not radomly) in any thread I have something to say in. When SOE notices the number of posts in the merchant forum skyrocketing, I think they will take note.
that's why we're here... correspondents relay information to the devs. devs aren't suppose to be reading every thread on the forum, and they won't. so you can either let doc help you guys, or scream and be unreasonable.
edit: spelling

doc has that focus thread, please post there.

That is the reason for the focus thread that I have already posted my thoughts in. I will continue to post when I have something to say.
First you ask me if I want the devs to have time to change stuff, or sit here all day and read my posts. Then you tell me the devs don't read the posts? This doesn't make any sense. The number of posts I make has no effect on the time the devs have. So why should I not post?
I'm not screaming and being unreasonable. I think I have a well thought out post in the focus thread (3rd post I think). But I do think the total number of post will say something to the devs. They don't NEED to read them all, just look at the sheer number.
No offense Pappi, I understand you are trying to help out. How about you get us a city chat channel! I know we can create on, and auto-join, but there are two problems with this.
1) Not all citizens will join
2) Non-citizens can join

hon, as I tell people on my own forum: just because something isn't happening, doesn't mean your correspondent isn't working on it. there are no plans for the devs to get any politician changes before JTL, and there are also quite a few bugs that I'm pushing them to fix before getting any extra stuff. if you posted that on my forum someone would probably tell you the exact same thing I just said.
I'm asking people not to post out of anger because your (and my) correspondent is working very hard on it with the devs already. I have nothing against well-written constructive post, but posting for the sake of posting isn't going to help. feel free to keep posting... but the devs will most likely not read it, and doc only has so much time to read. I would suggest a technique I use myself when something gets changed that I'm upset about (which, believe me, happens a lot...): make a post, then leave it alone without submitting it. go browse in a new window, then come back to the thread. if you still really want to post it and it's not positive, reread, edit, and post. otherwise, you can delete it when you cool off slightly.
I have no doubt that doc will help the merchants and get us as much as the devs will give us... be firm and stand your ground, but please don't go too far and become loud and obnoxious instead

I guess you are grouping me with the folks who are attacking the correspondents. I think the merchant correspondent is doing everything he can. He started a focus thread, I've posted my say in it, and I know he will summarize everything for the devs. This is how I think is should work. I agree.

I'm all for getting bugs fixed too. Why is it that we have to push to get them fixed? I'm a Master Droid Engineer, and have been since August of '03. Bugs take way too long to get fixed. I've not been able to name converse type droids since sometime last year IIRC. I can think of lots that were introduced with publish 7 and still have not been fixed. The players /bug is, then post about it on the forum, and the devs should fix it. Move along. Improve game.
If no one posted new ideas, we would have a stale game. You should not say "I'm pushing them to fix [bugs] before getting any extra stuff", but instead good idea, I'll take note and pass the information along to the devs. They can, and do, add stuff to the game at the same time they fix bugs.

The correspondent has started a focus thread asking for information. That thread is over 13 pages after only 8 hours. I don't expect the correspondent to read all the other posts outside of that thread. At this rate, I don't expect the correspondent to read all the post in the focus thread.
I am not posting just fo rthe sake of posting. I have something to say, and I will say it. A lot of others folks do to. The sheer mass of posts regarding this issue will say more than anything.
I have no doubt that doc will help the merchants and get us as much as the devs will give us... be firm and stand your ground, but please don't go too far and become loud and obnoxious instead
To be heard you have to be loud. I'll agree with you about not being obnoxious. From what I've read, most are not obnoxious.
