Thread: Is the vendor nerf enough to make you want to quit?

No more crafting for me after this. I try to keep 1k items on my vendor since there are about 15-20 foods that people find useful at one time or another. If this change goes through I'll spend so much time restocking that this game will end up being a job instead of a game. I will probably play long enough to see how back JTL sucks or doesn't suck but after that it will be WOW for me.

Not enough to quit, but enough to retire from crafting. And trust me, that would be a huge loss for ahazi.

Well, yes. All five accounts.

But, I have a question for all of you posting here. If Sony would charge, per month, for extra storage, would you pay for it? Considering that many of us have multiple accounts already, would it be worth it to get enough extra space in a house and on a vendor, that you would keep playing, if the fee wasn't outrageous?

I pay 15 dollars a month times 4 already. I'm finally convinced that these guys have no clue on how to keep customers happy. Everything that is wrong with this game is ignored while they seem to spend a unbelievable amount of time fixing the things that do work. I love this game, but I'm tired of the hassle it is becoming.

If so, post here. Tell others about this thread. We know the only way to get them to listen is to hit them in wallet, so let's show them how many accounts they will lose if they go through with this vendor cap...

I will at least get rid of my alt account and I know many more who will cancel their crafter/merchant accounts as well. If this goes through, it will be yet another /criticalhit to the player base and the game itself.

But even though we might all do this, you realize(and I hate playing devils advocate) that SOE is hoping that this will happen to some extent. For the most part, veteran players will be affected the most, or newer players who have risen to the higher ranks of their respective professions. I think losing players is something that SOE really doesn't care about, as new players will buy the game and will not notice any of these changes.

Player rollover is a quick, effortlessand inexpensive fix for the SOE brass business bottom line.

We may go out fighting, but new players will inevitably replace us in their "grand scheme of things"

All that being said, I truly hope this particular patch isn't included, I really enjoyed playing my crafter/merchant character as much as my main character and would be sad to /delete him.

I'll quit on all three accounts also and just keep on playing (with the time I have left) until Face of Mankind comes out in September...

mmmm... real PvP again?

It's amazing that SOE has to screw up every single working game system they have implemented.

(PS: My main business now is powerup selling with already -TWO- venders and already I have to restock each vender daily, this will ONLY make it worse. And I'd really hate to 'double' my prices just because of how clumsy and time consumingrestocking my venders is. Are they even thinking about the newer (not so 1337) players now or just focusing on making it harder on the hardcore folks? There goes casual gamers.. and server population with it *sigh*)

I won't quit, I won't stop crafting, I won't stop selling. But the changes are going to make me do unneccessary work for the sake of stocking my vendor that's for sure.

consider this my signage.. and in case you devs don't care I can personally tell you of over 30 people I know who will quit if this happens.. and I don't just mean a threat.. A PROMISE. Consider this my offage to World of Warcraft if this crap goes through. I am so angry right now I can't even play the game because the mere though of it MAKES ME WANNA PUKE! Do you really think this is gonna free up space on the freakin servers database? begin the urban sprawl with homes that are full of inventory.. 1-39awgnkwrgh-0qwetgnerg... you know what I'm not giving you the time of day.. do this crap and I'm gone!

I get it now... at first I was planning to rip you for stupidity, but you arent stupid... YOU see the opportunity in all this... good thinking! With the limits on vendors we can start charging 100k per piece of composite, because the supply of armors weapons etc... will simply be gone! We greedy monkeys will have to do alot less work for alot more money! good looking out! WTG SOE! Woohoo!

Ok... actually I dont mean what I just said. The merchant/vendor nerf is the worst thing SOE can do to the game. PERIOD. Nothing will F it up any worse than this. Except making all newbies Master Jedi and giving them all Super battle droids, and 350k ham... and NO thats NOT a suggestion.

Supply vs.Demand will cease in the games economy. There will be NO supply, and unlimited demand. I believe THIS may be SOE's way of boosting the value of the CDEF pistols we loot from NPC's... If they do this I will cancel one account, and simply hunt with my fighter when I want to. I already made enough money off my business that i can not ever spend it all. The ones I pity will be actually SOE themselves for all the new players that play the free month and quit, and the new players who are gluttons for punishment and keep playing this game. I pity them the 10k they will be paying for CDEF Rifles, and 150k credit sets of mabari...
