Limiting vendors are reasonable, and so is SOE's reasons for doing so. This hole protest this or protest that is a rather childish notion in a game. If you like the game play it, if you do not the terminate your subscription and stop trolling the forum.
I for one is in full support of the vendor FIX, especially with the new higher limits TH have announced.
i agree.
i like this "merchant nerf" for the most part. i think the limit for master were 250 items and 12 vendors (correct me if i'm wrong), this is plenty of space to sell things, with more vendors you can put each item you sell on it's own vendor. this will make it easier to find what they need. with 250 items of a particular weapon on a vendor will be plenty to keep your customers spplied without haveing to restock everyday. i think it is a needed change. i have to admit i was against it when it was 110 items andonly 6 vendors but this newer limit is great and i'll continue to conduct business as usual.
Whatever decisions were made higher up, this nameless programmer deserves his lauds.

I don't see the need to launch a strike at the moment myself, with TH's recent posts (and the fact dedicated merchants will get 12 vendors with 300 items per vendor) -- I feel as though this need has been addressed properly
We've been warned by Doc for MONTHS that unlimited items were going away, what I personally found horrible was the amount we were limited to with a MASTER merchant that i'm keeping valuable skillpoints keeping. With this latest set of comments by him most "Dedicated" (read: master) merchants are going to be able to possibly EXPAND their businesses, the larger array of vendors availiable to us will counterbalance the smaller number of items per vendor anyhow. Personally the only problem I personally will have is needing three or four vendors to properly house my tailored goods, and with the vendor number increases I'll be able to continue with "Business as usual".
Of course you could be upset that you aren't getting to keep your vendors without skillpoint use, but this comment is pure speculation on my part. For a master merchant, these numbers seem totally acceptable to me.
Just my two centicredits.
EDIT: It turned out it WAS pure speculation

Good to see another Chilastrian here! have you noticed that prices have already started to double on our server? IE Deceptus retracted all the way back to dantooine and doubled his prices. I think were in for some hard times, and big prices

Yeah, and what with some of the longer standing weaponsmiths leaving for other things *cough*Jedi*cough*, It'll drive prices even higher than before. Nothing like having to pay 25-30k for a good gaffi to grind my fencer with ![]()
Fortunately(?) for me, my scheduled price revamp was allready scheduled for Sept 1st ![]()
