I won't do it, but certainly a big YES to it as it will help a lot in the roleplaying.

Exclusive or inclusive lists, shouldn't matter.

I C & P'ed this from another post, but I want to run this by, given that almost all said yes (At the time of this posting.

Here is what I would like to see...ON THE VENDOR LEVEL NOT THE HOUSE LEVEL

An option, on he radial menu called something like "Faction Selling"

A screen would pop up. On it you would have this 3 columns, Faction Name, Sell to, Discount/Markup

The faction name would list the 3 factions. The sell to would be a check box, if it is checked, than the vendor would sell to that faction. the last would be a field (can't remember what they are called, but would have up and down arrows) that would allow you to go from -25% to +25%

This way, you could sell to anyone, but the price would change based on the discount, or you could not sell at all.

This would only be for those that are overt, I am not sure if it would work with others.

Yes I believe that would be an excellent idea. Would allow, say an Imperial organization to make sure that it isn't dealing with the "wrong kind of clients" so to speak. For instance a weaponsmith loyal to the Empire would be dismayed to find that one or more of his weapons was responsible for arming a Rebel incursion. Of course it would be an interesting bit of realism if this only worked against overts.

Furthermore, having a store belong exclusively to a certain faction's overt officers would also be interesting...sort of like a PX.

Yes! And the faction-based (and hopefully, guild-based) discounts/markups are excellent also!!

Yes, so long as it is an option that has to be manually set.

It should only be to refuse imperial/rebel though. Let neutrals remain neutral and free and all that. They don't want to be part of the conflict, so they shouldn't be forced by people being able to refuse them service so easily.

YES! My emporium is located well within my PA's sphere of influence. We are a rebel only PA. If i choose the economic consequences of selling to only my faction that should be my choice for roleplay purposes. In the mean time.. I just have to wait for Turrets and detectors to do my faction discrimination for me!

yes

and to expand on it even further let us charge a % more for one faction and a % less for another. So if I'm a rebel merchant I might not want to limit my customer base so much, but I would like to charge those filthy imperials 25% more and to give a discount of 25% to rebels.

Yes.

I really really doubt I'd be interested in doing it, but it ought to be an option. Surcharges are an excellent idea, as well. It'd be very nice if you could extend it to one's entire guild (or a discount, rather).
