btw, this quirk applies to the planetary registration as well.

I checked the planet vendor listafter the servers came back up and noticed mine wasn't on the list. I went to the shop to check it out. My vendor radial claimed to be registered already so I checked the planet vendors again and there it was.

The next day I checked the vendor list every few seconds until I got to my shop. Immediately after I entered the shop and my vendor loaded, there it was on the planetary vendor list.

Curioser and curioser.

Confirmed here as well. I didn't initially believe this to be the case because I wasn't even in my house all weekend and I continued to get XP but it isn't that my character has to be there it is that someone has to be there. I have a fairly active shop and people come and go all day long so I didn't see the xp stopping. I only noticed it myself because I placed a vendor in a remote location last night and it wasn't on the map this morning. I went out to it and immediately once I entered the building and the vendor loaded it was back on the map and I got additional XP from it.

Ha! So they do function like the harvesters then. Wow. I would suppose vendors were meant to function like this all along, but were bugged, like the 0 maintenance NPC vendors, and when they fixed that, they also fixed the xp accrual "bug." So now, like harvesters, vendors do not exist nor do what they do unless someone is there to see it. Ha ha. If a tree falls, and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? What a whacky game this is.

Can someone post a simple macro I can make to keep my character logged in all day? IfI just log on and then go to work he logs out after an hour.

Thanks,

Evarr

Exp for making things in factories works the same way. If there isn't anyone near your factory to keep it loaded while it's running, you won't get exp.

Amazing how they canbreak things that worked fine for months while not doing anything to fix things that have been broken for months.

I use this one:

/sit;
/pause 60;
/stand;
/pause 60;
/ui action toolbarSlot11

This is an infinite loop that will only be interrupted by /dump or when the server resets (power outages etc.)

But the question still is this... Should it be this way or are they supposed to give the hourly experience loaded or not... Enquiring minds want to know..

Test it out last night. Dead on.

Kept my charter logged on with a entertainer macro over night.

While I play yesterday for a round 4 hrs got 600exp for 5 vendors.

Woke up this morning had gained over 5000exp.

I'm new to the merchant proffession, but this sucks.

Looks like I'll need to baby sit my store to earn exp.
