Well How's about we think about the little things:
The company you just bought 500 shares of stock in, for a cost of 500 CPS just got banned for double slicing. Your money, Shares and Idea just got flushed down the toilet.
You're out 250k, go do a few jantas missions?

My question is, how would shares go up and down, based on what?
LOL Your Estimated 4th Quarter Earnings man, either you do better or worse than you predicted & then When THE DOWSOE comes online and the bell rings we all rush the trading floors for the hottest in ArmorSmith stocks with the combat upgrade armor revampage.

Do Jantas get their own stock market or do we have to trade in the same one as they do? Because they're gonna have to wear some clothing & take a shower if that's the case.

You can always create your own corporation. Become a master crafter in a high-margin business (weaponsmith, armorsmith, or maybe doctor or chef). Get people to buy shares in your company. Buy resources, make product, and sell product. Pay yourself a salary (or just keep some percentage of the company). Pay dividends based on company profits. People could buy or sell shares of your company to other people as they choose.
It would be a lot of work tracking income and disbursing the dividends, but I think it would be fun work.

Dude, they can't even make the game stable. What chance have they got of maintaining a complex stock market.
