Thread: Hotfix 8th April Min & Max Price Search

Min and Max price search....... BLEH, how about giving people using the Baz terminals the ability to type in an item name to help better refine the searches for items or am I so new that I couldn't even see that option? I hate having to go through 10 pages to hunt down just the 1 item name I was looking for in the first place.
You can now, there is a box so you can search for say X-Wing or YT-1300

Well, sort of. I was looking for AT-ST Pilot's helmet under Generic Items and the search turns up nothing. So I look at the the Generic Items list unfiltered and there are, at least, 4 on the second page. So I search for Pilot, as in AT-ST Pilot's Helmet, again, nothing. So I search on Pil, nothing, then I search on lot and I get "Schematic: Crafter's Apron" (along with ALL of the other looted schematics for tailors), which as everyone knows "lot" is silent in that name and therefore it's not necessary to include those letters in the spelling (sarcasm).
The first thing I did, as a Shipwright, was search on YT-1300 and nothing was returned even though I had just made one and put it on my vendor. I even helped the search out and narrowed the category to Ship Chassis.
Seriously, do they even TEST the code before they release it???????

Thought I would add, it only took me about 1 minute to test the YT-1300 thing to see that it doesn't work. How hard would it be for the programmers to do that??

very stange, on chimaera i did a wide range of searches and they all came back with what i was looking for, including the ty-1300 i have just put on my vendor (very wide spectrum btw, 300k to 1mil)
I like it. I could live without the min-max, but the name search is awesome, since it works from my vendors. No more tedious searching to find out "do I have garages for every planet on my vendors?" and "Do I have Naboo City Halls on the Naboo vendor?"
Punch in City Hall or Garage, and presto! I have the answer.
I like.

Agreed. Might have been better if they threw the merchants a carrot or two in the process. Sadly that didn't happen.

Spam droids, map listings, it's all small stuff compared to this.

Well, as critical as I've been of SOE about this feature, some of you are going to wonder if this is really me -- and I DO feel a bit like a heretic....

Couldn't have said it better myself. Was very sleathly fixed, but well received. Shame they couldn't admit that is was borked to start with. Using the search seems to fix the duplicates items too, so I am happy.
I am still not happy about the way the 'results' are sorted. Oldest Vendor first. I have been succesfully running my business for near on a year and since this went live my sales are at about 10% of what they have been. If I only I could make the first page of the GVS...
silly wabbits..
