I have 5 vendors in one location.
4 of them sell my tailor items. All 4 of these are registered.
1 acts as an ad barking outlet only, to redirect people from the main room of my Naboo Medium back out into the entry foyer area which is where my vendors are. (people often run past them before they are loaded) This vendor aint registered.
I guess i like for people looking at the planetary map to see what i have to offer a bit more than simply the name of my store could inform about.
I put a lot of work into making sure i maintain a well stocked wookiee clothing vendor. So i have a wookiee NPC vendor registered as Feen's Wook Wear. That way a wookiee can see that i have a specialised vendor and they can easily spot them upon arrival...
The other three vendors are:
1 for both BE clothes and "Full Outfits" (ie outfits bundled in packs for sale together)... i figure it best to have BE listed on the map as well as separate to other clothes since people can find it easy.
1 for packs, belts, bandliers & jewellery etc - again it lets people know that i have this stuff and easy to find separately (tho i feel bad, this vendor needs a decent restock)
1 for all other general clothing items.
I always find the first thing i do when i use a vendor is list "All"
As it is all my wookie and general clothes vendors already run over two pages (my jewellery etc should but it needs a good restock) ...
Also, I simply love using my master merchant skills to play dress-up on my vendors and toy wih exotic races... so a large part of having numerous vendors is just the fun of having a chance to play with them all!
Im not keen on running numerous shops on various planets... i do enough running around as it is already.
