In short guys, I feel your pain, I really do.
I will tell you this... We are getting some love, I am not sure when, but we are getting some. SOme of out ideas in our last post, have been shot down.
I think the reason that SOE wants to control the info is that there is no timeline, and they do not want to set themselfs up for failure. That is in fact, a smart plan.
Love is coming, trust me.
If the love comes after I've quit this game out of frustration it falls under the category of too little to late. It is not in fact a smart plan to avoid telling us what they envision for this profession. It just frustrates us and makes us unhappy customers. A smart plan would be to come up with a timeline and then work toward meeting it.
It doesn't distress me that some of our ideas get shot down. But I fear will get the usual minor fixes on stuff that doesn't matter and useless shiny beads (signs which don't even allow you to really advertise yourself properly) and a complete shaft on our goal of playing a vital role in the player economy.
I agree with Osskibi here. Annoying as the bugs are, I am having fun. I am trying to set myself up for 6-12 months down the road whentodays merchant problems arefadedold war stories for the new crop of youngsters. There is so much possible for us over the long term in this game. Patience.
Long live marqie, our spokesperson!

Marqie, thanks for the effort. It's a tough job drving communications between teams (SOE, Merchants). I have in the last few weeks wondered about my choice to be a merchant. I've hung on though. I hope the love comes with a fix to ad-barking and planetary registration.
Keep up the good fight,

"The Merchant Manifest... Sending out an SOS"; have we grown apathetic following the lack of developer response; or are Merchants content with the current situation?
