I think some of you are underestimating the effects of billions of duped credits being put into the economy.
Something needs to be done. The innocent need to be protected or reimbursed for the damage done to them.
But the dupers and all those who collaborate with them need to get the axe or have a piano dropped on them or whatever other analogy you want to use for permanent banning. If someone dupes on one account, all that person's accounts should be banned, and accounts of real or fictitious family members should likewise be banned if they receive duped credits.
I have yet to be convinced that the devs aren't doing the right thing here. I will make that determination when I see what happens to the merchants who are truly innocent.

Still waiting for an official red-letter response as to when it's going to be safe to run a vendor without risking being banned.
If they haven't given a date, have they at least told us that the WILL tell us when it's safe? Or is this going to be a case of "you will be forevermore at risk"?

Seems that there was never any danger of running a vendor.

None of my vendors ever closed, I was fully prepared to face the consequences if I got suspended for carrying out business as usual.. i.e. leave.
Now that they've announced that no vendors were banned/suspended I have a small sense of satisfaction, and I'm wondering what all those people who say they were banned for merchant sales were really doing..

There were many legitimate things they could have been doing that would have exposed them to bad credits.
