Thread: Annoying Customers you want to throw in the Sarlacc Pit
I'm dancing in Theed cantina (back before the holo-tainers took over) with my Master Dancer title on:
IamClueless tells you, "are you a dancer, like the kind that heals BF?"
{are there any other kinds of dancers??}
I reply, "yes, I can heal your BF if you come to the cantina and watch me
IamClueless tells you, "can you come to the shuttleport cause I'm trying to catch this shuttle but I have 750 BF I need healed before it leaves in 2 minutes"
{Note, this is Theed, so why ANYONE waits for a shuttle is beyond me, the starport is always no-wait. Anyway....}
I reply, "I'm sorry, I'm busy dancing here atm and you have to be in a cantina to heal BF anyway, so I can't help you"
IamClueless tells you, "well then can you come to Corellia and heal my BF there then, I'll tip you 500c, I really need my BF healed cause its hard to heal my stats." {I'll bet!}
I reply, "I'm sorry, I have other customers here and your tip wouldn't even cover the cost of my ticket. But if you run over to the cantina now, I can heal you up really fast, I'm a Twi'lek with healing bonuses and BE clothes bonuses and I flourish at a high rate so I can heal you up fairly fast and you can catch the next shuttle."
IamClueless tells you, "Thanks a lot for nothing, Dancers are so rude, I'll never tip a dancer again!"
------------
Then there are the customers who get mind buffs and don't pay or tip at all even when I make it clear to them that I work for tips, they still seem to think my services are free.
And I won't even go into the customers that want perv stuff and call me a whore because I'm a dancer and won't cyber with them.....
Gaaah....The sarlac will be full tonight.
At one point I considered going Bio-Engineer/Merchant. I am so glad now I didn't!
These people are the reason I hide my title and don't make custom pets.
There is a similar thread to this in the BE forum, every other crafter forum as well as the Ranger forum.............. Hmmm - looks like the idiocy is pandemic!
OK, here's the BE one:

and another BE one:

Both from the last few days.

What's really mindbending about these people is that with only a little imagination and courtesy they might actually get what they want:
"Hi. I have a business selling other people's products over a wide area. Because I concentratesolely on selling goods I can sell a large volume of your products. Would you consider selling me bulk volumes of your product at a discounted price? I realise you will not make so much per unit, but with me selling more units for you, overall you should make more money and not have to worry about marketing your fine goods. Initially I was thinking of an order of 10 vehicles at 15K each - more orders following as the vehicles are sold. Obviously you would have to let me know on what planets you are already marketing your vehicles so I'm not competing with you. Please let me know what you think of this proposal."

First of all, I want to say that this thread is great! Keep up the stories! I have one too, however, this didn't happen to me but rather one of our citizens.I am an arch/merchant/politician and I have experienced my share of demanding/unreasonable/rude customers, but none of them compare to this little tale. Sorry, I'm paraphrasing here:
- Citizen is a WS, and is standing in his shop when a customer comes in. Customer is decked out in full composite, carrying a T21 and - get this - sporting a Novice Marksman tag.
- Customer checks the vendor for a few minutes, then pipes up asking our WS where all the "good" guns are. WS asks what he means by "good", and customer replies that he wants an "uber" gun and it needs to be "spliced".
- WS tells customer that the T21 is about as uber as you can get as far as rifles go, and why is he using one when he is a Novice Marksman and obviously doesn't have the skill? Shouldn't he be using something more appropriate to his abilities?
- Customer ignores the question and repeats his request foran "uber" gun that is "spliced" and asks why aren't there any on the vendor.
- WS follows suit and repeats his question about the T21 and adds a question about how the customer got all the money to buy these things as a Novice Marksman.
- Customer replies "Oh, I got all the credits on ebay. I want the guns because they look cool and I bought the composite yesterday because I saw someone in a starport wearing it and they told me I had to have it if I wanted to be good" (I suspect he used the term "1337" as opposed to "good" but I wasn't in on the actual conversation so I can't say for sure).
- WS asks customer how long he's been in the game. Customer replies "3 days".
- Customer asks again... so where can I get "uber spliced" guns?
- WS walks away...
