Having been screwed over by the non-artisians who flooded the "vote on harvester certification" thread, I have absolutely no problem with the precautions taken here. People with the dedication to give something back by being part of the community (and thus are either the best informed, or the best trolls

Well, to be fair, ALL our rights on these forums are very broad...
Varnax has every right to request that people respect his purpose for this thread and post only votes and not discussion of the topic, for which there are already countless other threads. It's an effort that many of us in the other threads BEGGED someone to take the initiative to begin.
Joined has every right to post whatever he wants on any of these forums within the realm of decency, and therefore to ignore Varnax's polite request and pollute this vote thread with discussion nonsense all over again.
I have every right to be immensely grateful to Varnax for creating a thread where I feel my voice can finally be heard by the developers in a "numbers" sense and not just lost amongst the myriad discussions on this topic on every board in this system. I also have every right to be immensely grateful to Varnax for not just creating a poll that says "sucks" or "yay", but actually works toward potentially suggesting that many of the disgruntled Merchants would even be willing to cope with limits if a compromise number for those limits is made.
And finally, I have every right to lose every shred of respect for Joined and be disgusted with him, for refusing to honor the initial simple and polite request to keep this forum to votes only and no discussion of the topic, for doing so despite hundreds of other threads to choose from in which to post discussion (demonstrating, in my opinion, a wish to agitate and upset those who disagree with him rather than to sway any minds - as demonstrated by his own statement that every post asking him to stop encourages him to post more - DISGUSTING), and for using subversion to try and make a weak and unsupported viewpoint appear to have more humans behind it than there really are... I've got six accounts and care about this issue deeply, but would never dare be so self-serving as to try that kind of manipulation.
I honestly have enjoyed, on the other threads, discussion with the few who disagree with me, when that discussion has been appropriately placed and civil. And I also respect them for their opinions, even if they are not my own. But I have NO respect for anyone who has to tear down the single thread providing comfort through a show of numbers in voice (whether truly effectiveor percieved) with yet more soapboxing.
PLEASE post your vote here, if you haven't already. REGARDLESS of your opinion and which way you vote, I thank you for posting it... I am interested to know how the numbers are working out, and to feel that there is some larger show of numbers to be offered. It is up to the Devs, not you or I, whether to consider these counts valid, so it is pointless to debate that here either. PLEASE, if you want to discuss further, go to ANY of the MANY threads meant for that. I BEG you. I have the right to make that request, you have the right to CHOOSE to honor it or not, and I just HOPE that you will.

P.S. - Heh heh... I also have the right to be hypocritical by making a post like this denouncing non-vote posts, but itself being a non-vote posts; nonetheless I have the right to rationalize it by assuming it a machiavellian necessity to at least make an effort to cease the other non-vote posts. LOL
