I am collecting a list of all the things that are not in the proper category or categories that are empty. Items that don't have a category. Anything to do with the category list. Please respond with any that you know about.

WEAPONS:
- Gaderiffi Batons are listed under "Melee Weapons" vice "1-Handed Weapons"
- Stun Batons are listed under "Melee Weapons" vice "1-Handed Weapons"
- Vibroknucklers are listed under "Melee Weapons" instead of having their own category "Unarmed Weapons" (or something similar)
- "Ranged Weapons" category is now empty
- If above changes are made, "Melee Weapons" category would be empty

Vehicles are under Deeds. Though it would be more useful if they could be under vehicles together with the customisation kits which are under misc tools I think?.

No category for vehicles.
For clothes (taken from the tailor forum):
•The exotic leotard should be classified as a "bodysuit" not a "dress"
•The Gunman Duster should be classified as a "jacket" not a "robe".
•The Smock should be classified as a "robe" not a "dress". (It’s male-only and men don’t naturally look under “dresses”)
•The Dress Robe should be classified as a "robe" not a "jacket".
•The Short Skirt should be classified as a "skirt" not "pants"
•The Short Wrap should be classified as a "skirt" not "pants
•The Gunman Duster should be classified as a "jacket" not a "robe".
•The Smock should be classified as a "robe" not a "dress". (It’s male-only and men don’t naturally look under “dresses”)
•The Dress Robe should be classified as a "robe" not a "jacket".
•The Short Skirt should be classified as a "skirt" not "pants"
•The Short Wrap should be classified as a "skirt" not "pants
Also, all skirts are in misc and not the skirt category, and wookie wear isn't in the wookie category as it should.

^^^ Good one Songe.
Capes. There are no capes. (Will there be capes? /wink)
Misc. is a miscellaneous mess. Half the time I can't find something that should be under Deeds, or Entities or Components, I eventually find it in Misc.?

Yeah capes forgot. And I just took that from the tailor forum, not my work lol.

Surely all these categories should be nested? So I can search for weapons, ranged weapons, or pistols, depending how much I'm browsing or searching for a particular item. Or I could search for resources, or inorganics, or metals, or non-ferrous metals, or just steel (looking for just 'neurtronium steel' might be a bit too much).
Know wot I mean?

Another thing, some may agree or not but it's something that bothers me... Factory crates. Just about everything in the game is sold in factory crates...it should bepossible to categorize them depending on what is in them.

Absolutely... if this could be arranged it would make things much easier for customers. 10 points to you!

I know exactly what you mean, and frankly, I'd pay real money if I could search for things that way. Especially materials, where right now you have to pour over page after page after page of "metals" on the bazaar to see what is for sale. Being able to simply go look for "steel" would be a wonderful improvement.
As for the weapons, I wouldn't see the need to do "Melee > 1-Handed" or "Ranged > Carbine". I think they're fine the way they are now, though I LOVE the idea for resources/materials.

FYI tailors, I forwarded Doc our "top 20" issues that involved vendors via e-mail early this week. It's all under control!

Rather than misc corrections, I would rather see a complete re-organization based on (nominal ) source for the item. All manufactured itemsshould haveouter catagories that match the crafting kit and inner catagories by tab and heading. I say nominal source since a looted CDEF should go next to a manufactured one.
Resources should have the same catagories as the survey tools/harvesters, and inner catagories the way the outline works on the survey tool. Animal resources would be their own catagory, with sub catagories like meator Milkand sub-sub-catagorieslike Avian meat or Domestic Milk.
Choice of an outline headingcatagorywill showeverything under it (pretty much does now), and a catagoryshould only appear if there was at least one item in that catagory. Any future changes to Crafting Tool schematic or Survey Tool listings should be tied directly to catagory changes.
The lack of a compelling theme in the current system makes where something goes a matter of opinion that can be argued about, which doesn't help the buyer know that he is looking in the right place. But if the devs are only willing to make small changes instead of reorganizing completely, I have some pet peves:
- One that bugs me is that Reactive Gas is under Energy, tho it can't be used to power anything. IIRC solid petro fuel is also not Energy, but occurs there. That leaves the Gas catagory with only inert gases which occur invery few types, while the inorganic minerals has many catagories and subcatagories.
- I find it strange that meat is in Organic Foods along with flora, and bone is with wood as "Organic Structural", but hide has its own catagory.
- The current Deeds catagory is fubar, some kinds of deeds only show under the main heading and are not under any of the catagories, but I don't recall which ones just now.
- Along with everyone, I thinkhaving all factory crates togetherunder Misc is stupid, though itoffers a profit opportunity for a sharp new character. Makes a great way to fund an alt!
Each profession should be asked to contribute to this listing, I am sure that Droid Engineers wouldn't like the layout in their current crafting kits, since they think that borked.
