hey guys im on the way to novice merchant and have 2 quick questions which the FAq wasnt quite clear enough on.

I know i get 50 xp for someone viewing my vendor but is there a limit on how often they can do this? IE the faq mentioned something about 10 minutes. So am i right in thinking they view it once and then have 10 wait 10 mins before i get exp for them viewing it again?

Secondly. I can charge access fees for people of 1 cred to build up easy exp too. now it says that they get access for 15 minutes from this. if they leave during this 15 mins and try and come back in within the 15 mins do i get another set of exp or are they still covered by the timer?

Many thanks

bleh and one last quick question. when it says vendors must exist IE have someone near to make them work does having someone logged out in the building count or do you need to be logged in.

Thanks

That bug is fixed and no longer applies.

When it did apply you had to be logged in.

Your other questions:

1. Yes if they come back in 10 minutes you get another 50. Not before then.

2. The lowest time you can put on the entry fee is 15 minutes. If they go out and come back during that 15 mintues it doesn't ask them to pay again because they already have access. You only get xp when they pay.

If you really want to give people less of a reason to return to your shop, set an access fee. If you want people actually plan on returning, no fee is really best unless you have something to sell that is jjust simply that good.

You can't, they're theiving employees!

Hope it wasn't any decent stuff.

You're out of time, SOE The whole 2.5 months shouldn't have been. The game was fine up until Nov 15th. If the CU was worked on, instead of devoting time to the NGE (including the many months prior to November), the game could possibly be totally bug free by now.

My account cancels on 2nd Feb, which was a waste as only played game for 1 day to get the life day gifts, will be resubbing when creature handler, Bio-engineer, scout, and ranger return, oh and the FS village.

It's part of the standard employment contract that any work related clothing or accessories (including weapons and armor) will belong to the employee forever.

They are within their rights to take them home if you choose to supply them with something new, and they don't have to give back what you've already given them.

That's why I save all the good stuff for the paying customers and give my employees the things I was gonna throw away.

Hehe...yes, you can never get them back. But if you just want to change them, anything new you drag on to them will replace the old outfit.

I once dragged something, I forget what, onto my female twi'lek vendor, and she turned naked, it was an awful sight!

That's an interesting bug(?).

When you put something new on a vendor it takes the old stuff off and puts the new stuff on.

However, it doesn't check to see if it can actually wear the new stuff first.

So if you put something like a "smock" on a female vendor, it first takes off all its current clothes that would conflict with the smock. However, since the smock is for males only, the vendor will reject it and it'll stay in your inventory. Unfortunately, the vendor has already disrobed and is probably feeling a draft.

I feel very silly for admitting this, but anyway...

A long, long time ago, I had been given a wonderful robe, with Droid Experimentation +7, which I kept in my inventory for those crafting moments. Some months later, I enrolled at the merchant academy so that I could eventually open my own shop. Slowly I learned how to increase my efficiency, hire more vendors, advertise my wares, and finally dress vendors. Well, I was so excited to try out the new dressing skill, I grabbed the first thing I could find in my inventory and offered it to one of my vendors who took it with a snap, appreciatively though.

She did look very smart. I told her I would get her some better clothes later and asked for the robe back. Well, the cheek of it, she plainly ignored me, so without hesitation I fired her.

*hugs*
Karlie.

Ouch!

You need to screen your employees better.

Some of them just don't seem to appreciate the fact that it's hard to find a steady job.

It's even harder if you're unattractive!

Question is...why would you want any of the clothing back after they've stood there in the same spot for 24/7 with no shower & no washing machine? /sniff ewwwwwwwwww
