Any suggestions on how I can drive up some traffic in a ghost town. My vendors are set up South of Keren. I like to think my sales are very competitve in price. If I just can get some bodies in that word of mouth will drive up my business. My goods at the moment are Food and Drinks, Componets, and Resorces. Soon to be adding Armor, and Stims.

Trade forums firstly. Then just telling guildies/friends to recommend you when they hear someone say they need food. That just gets more bodies into your shop. Also, maybe selling food singles with your vendor waypoint at the Dath Science or Dant MOP might be up your alley.
Just have to get your location out there just like everyone else

I am just a bit west of Keren and have recently gotten enugh traffic that I took down my corellian Vendors and here is how I did it.
- Found a partner I am teamed up with an awesome Weaponsmith Merchant and a DE Merchant combined we have a tremendous pull.
- Got Roleplaying events going on in the city. PVP events Live Auctions Scavenger hunts any thing to attract attention to your area
- Forums Started posting they started coming.
- By consentrating all my vendors in one spot I was able to make a better looking mall and still keep the vendors well stocked (Well my partner was able to make it look better I have no talent for decor)

You could sell promotional items on the bazaar. Single items of what you normally sell at lower prices. Then send emails with you product information and location to all who buys the items.

Buffs seemed to have trumped all, and once again over shadowed food (I don't hear much clamoring for food like I used to).
But I digress...another way is to help your town. Try and entice some of the top armor and weaponsmiths on your server into opening a satelite in your town. Bring in as many services as you can. of course this relies on your mayor being on and active to LET them do this, but that's a different story.

Well, I don;t know about the intervals, but really spamming does help (at least in my experience). Just keep it polite and interesting. If you do a bit of role-play spamming, you will excape a few ignore lists =)

And if you actually are ATK, it helps, and responding when people ask you something, or say "Hi" or "Hello" when people seem to be looking your way, or at your barker droid. And please, Dont just spam your WP and what proffesion you are, say what you stock, maybe with percentage if they have any.

Yeah! I meant to include that too. If you give the recipients of your message a reason to value your advertisment you will see better results.
These are some decent suggestions for dealing with the necessity of spam. There are a couple of merchants out there spamming uninteresting messages way to quikly and they are giving us all a bad (worse)name.

I spammed for four or five days, including a weekend. I stareted with 3 or 4 ads, one every 120 seconds, then went to a 60 second delay, finally cutting to 30 seconds to see what happened. I stated what I was selling, including 3-5k crates for 999 and furniture starting at 1 cred.
Got almost no business, and I feel so dirty.
I did finally sell a bunch of color crystals, though.
It might still work for some, it just didn't work for me. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go wash this damned spot out.

I think spaceport spamming is an awful practice. Most of the people on my ignore list were spaceport spammers irritating me with their endless sales spams.
A lot of these ideas are good, but if part of the problem is because you have your vendor in a ghost town, you should consider moving your vendor to a better trafficked location. Ghost towns are no fun to try and resurrect business to by yourself.
