I suggest that Master Merchants get an ability to advertise for their store or whatever in the loading screens.

It would be a nice change to the default one we've all seen a thousand times

What do you all think??

Think those may be stored client side though, so would require a patch to change them.

Thanks guys...

I had initally intended it to be for player cities, another money sink, where it showed player cities (as it shows other cities too) for a cost.

I then thought that cities have vendors, just as merchants do, and then it came to me... I hope this gets added...I hearby decalre this idea © Shuklar Industries...now pay me royalties!...lol j/k

Wow I had the same idea. But i think in game billboards would be better. That way we don't get a patch everytime somebody posts an add.

lol...you wouldn't need a patch everytime. It doesn't make sense to hold constantly updating information on client anyways...

It would be easier to retrieve the 250byte info and load it into the area

Anything Planet specific would be great to have up on the Loading Screens.

Master Merchants can put their stores up, for a price.

PA Leaders can advertise their PAs, for a price.

Player City Mayors can advertise their Cities, for a price.

I think this is a great idea.

Good job.

Actually I wouldn't even mind seeing updated loading screens. Most of the data on them now is so outdated

Yeah those are all client side so that'd be more difficult than it sounds. However I really like the idea.

Oh yeah!

EVERYONE loads how many times a day? And there is no way the developers can keep them loading screens fresh so we have something to read. So letting merchants place rent load screens to put up ads would be really nice!

Doing a bounty hunter mission and stuck going to Dantooine? While loading you see an advertisement for a trendy new shop and cap stop by after you take care of your bounty... Not such a wasted trip after all, eh?

The only thing I suggest is that the cost be high and you can only rent space for an extremely limited time before having to renew. That way we don't have the same problem as we do with the world map, empty vendors.
