Thread: Frustration with custom order/merchant tent
I was having a lot of trouble with people buying other people's orders from my custom order vendor (YES people even bought bags full of items without even knowing what was inside) so I thought I'd get a merchant tent and have my vendor in there, have an entree fee of 3000 credits that I would refund when the right person purchased their items.
Now, this is what I found out.. vendors inside merchant tents can be used from the outside. So WHAT is the point of an entry fee?!!
God this ticks me off.

just deliver to their vendors.
The majority of players have no vendors.
Sell the custom orders you do make at a higher price as well, sending a /tip back if the right person buys it.
Of cause it would be best would be if we could just mark a sale son only a certain person could buy it.
I like this idea... Make some good money off these poachers.

Well you could place a lot of fake orders on the custom order vendor, backpacks filled with junk sold at outrageous prices... if someone buys them it is thair own fault.

Just make sure to save the emails. Then post them on the forums. You could even say that it was a bag with some junk for a friend that owed you money, but did not want to pay the tip fee.
" He sells me a bunch ofspice in the bag and I give him a few knives to practice slicing" ![]()
I use my vendor to collect the dues of our PA. Each member buys a cube and sells it back to me.

Items in side a house or tent don't load into the world until you step inside. Yes, you can see inside the tent, but it will appear empty until you step inside, so I'm not sure how this would be possible.
A possible cause of this problem:
Enter tent, entry fee box pops up, click no, getkicked outside butstill have the interior load and remain visible because of lag. I noticed that on houses you can sometimes get a fair distance down the entry hall before the fee box comes up if you're lagging, and tent interiors remain visible if you go in, back out, and stand right outside. I'm not sure if interiors will load if you don't pay the fee, but this seems like the most logical explanation and anyone with a tent could easily test it.
Items in a house don't unload immediately after you leave. There is a period of time where they stick around before being unloaded. I wonder if that is what is going on.
There is also some lag time for the entry fee box. I'll see about testing this myself. If you can access a vendor from outside a tent then that would be a problem.
