Thread: Billion Credit Corporations... where are you?
I run about half that large..butI do it all solo. How do I structure an employee relationship that wont' result in me being totally taken advantage of?
I'll take my response in a PM if you don't want to publish your secrets in public.

I run the largest power corporation on Eclipse and currently have 26 employees/contractors with over 180 harvesters in our fleet... (not all operating currently).
With so many employees/contractors, I've had to begin keeping much more detailed records and the data that became availableamazed me. Projections in sales for 2004 are in the 1 to 1.5 billion credits range.
To actually see these estimates based on the data flabbergasts me as it wasn't ever my plannedintention to grow so big, but it just happened with a lot of recent reinvestment and expansion.
Where are the other billion dollar corporations who expect to post 1 billion plus in sales in 2004?
Not me I have no desire to be that big. I work hard when funds are low and slack off when they are high
I enjoy doing other stuff too much to devote that much time to it. I'm just steadily making enough to pay my bills and keep a healthy bank account.
That depends entirely on if I avoid the #1 killer of WS's on ahazi.

Yea there was a period of time last year where I spent 6 hours a night restocking and managing vendors for a weaponsmith. I worked harder at that than I did my RL job.
Imagine having to craft the stuff to

I can't which is why I don't understand my more crafters don't embrace merchants. In my example that was exactly what drove the weaponsmith to me..she wanted to focus on making weapons not stocking vendors and worrying about all the restocking etc. She off loaded all of that to me and was much happier for it. I am not saying no one should do both, but you certainly shouldn't be complaining that you have too much to do or that you don't have skill points to do other things.
I have no interest in spending the huge amount of time necessary to run a billion credit corporations.
Not when I see how the time spent making millions in this game could be time spent making money in REAL LIFE!
I'm managing 40 lots and the 2 hours spend daily re-stocking my vendors and harvesters check are more than enough time sink.
