Thread: Vendor limit question

Could someone currently on TC let me know if the 110 limit is items for sale or if items in storage and offers to vendor eat into the 110 limit? I'm hoping its just the items for sale otherwise people that make buff packs are really going to be hurting.

Thanks,

Thanks, I knew when I made an offer it used up one of my 20 bazaar slots but I wasn't sure if Sony changed it so it also ate up one of the 110 slots for the vendor with the recent changes.

The stockroom doesn't count against the cap as of the other night when I tested it on TestCenter. I haven't tested offers but I would imagine they don't count against the cap either.

Look like you are a bit behind on the "latses" updates....
Master merchant is now 12 vendors with a 4000 item in total cap. That means 4000 items on one vendor or spread out over 12.
If you have more then 4000 items stocked you cant put up any more, but the extra once will not fall from sale or get deleted (unless SoE manage to make some horrible bugs). However when the items ate out of time and do drop to the stock room you can not put them, pack up for sale unless you vendor are below 4000 items then.

And the latest news on Pup 10 is 31/08.

Ok, like many crafters with some merchant in their template, i have a vendor set up specifically for storage in my shop.

The problem ive run into is that my individual vendor item capacity seems to be shrinking. I've not dropped any merchant skills but as i keep unloading items to organize them into backpacks for restorage, i get the message "Vendor is at maximum capacity and cannot accept any more items for sale". I went from over 160 items on my vendor to about 125 and i cannot get the items to reload. Ive not loaded any more items that i originally started with !!! Like i said, its as though my capacity has started shrinking.

What is the individual vendor capacity limit and does it take into account items within wearable containers in that max capacity? Any changes occur recently that i missed in the patch notes?

Thanks,

K, havent paid that much attention to it but it does seems strange that when i pull a pack off a vendor that i cant put it back with the same amount of items in it due to too many items on that vendor.

Check the item count from the vendor status window, not from the item listing screen.
This is the only true item count.

If what he's saying is true (as I interpret it), then it could be a bug. Lets say you're allowed 100 items on a vendor, and you have 95 on it. You then try to add a backpack with 5 items in it. This should be fine. But it's conceivable that the program could count the backpack as an item, and reject it before it realizes it shouldn't.

I've seen similar things happen - for instance, if I have 1 unit of a resource in a pack, then add another unit of that same resource to the pack, it originally ups the number of items in the pack until it realizes that they should stack. Then the number goes back down to what it should be.

I'm guessing here, but it's possible that he was maxed on items, removed a backpack full of items, and wasn't able to put it back on (while nothing else changed). This is how I interpret his situation anyway. If so, then I'd say it's a bug. And it could be caused by something like I described, but I really am not qualified to answer that.

Thus sayeth Dimear

It's possible if he's that close to the item limit.

It works the same way when putting a vendor in a house.
200 items in the house and the vendor won't place.
199 items in the house, the vendor will place and there will still be 199 items in the house.
