I am one of the higher producing Armorsmiths on intrepid. I make hunderds of suits at a time.

Im getting ready to launce a 1k+ suit run and how the heck can i do my vendors properly with this nerf???

Im makeing lots of composite, which has 9 peices

Padded, 9 peices

Ubese 7 peices

PSG's,

Repair tools

Components

Im currently 4/0/4/4 merchant and i had to TOTALY give up a combat class to devote to putting down new vendors and getting them all ready for the big BOOM of armor. Thank god i have a jedi or i would have to buy a second account just to have a combat person to play this game not work for the game!!!

This is some hard core numbers to show this is the most STUPID NERF for merchants!!!

Why should I have to restock 2 times a day to keep up!!!

Composite (unsliced 1 vendor) Total items to be placed is 2,750 items

Line 1, 26% stun 70% base, 200 suits in the works

125 suits to be put in packs for full suits, while the other 75 suits to be placed as singles (75X9= 675)

So for line one there is 750 spaces

Line 280% kinetic 80% energy 70% base, 200 suits

same set up, 750 peices

Line 3 80% kinetic 58% base low ham 100 suits

50 suits in packs 50 suits in singles (50X9=450)

500 peices

Line 4 40% Stun 66% base 200 suits

* See line 1 for details* 750 peices

Vendor #2 padded, and ubese, total 350 items

Line 5 80% kinetic 50% base Adv padded 100 suits

all 100 in full suits

Line 6 78% kinetic 30% base ADV. Ubese 100 suits

75 full suits 25 singles (25X7=175)

250 peices

Vendor #3, PSG, and toolsvendor, total 496 peices

Line 7 64% energy PSG's 330 PSG's

30 singles,20 crates of 5, 10 crates of 10,5 crates of 20

65 Peices

Line 8 47% Base PVP PSG's 330 PSG's

30 singles, 20 crates of 5, 10 crates of 10, 5 crates of 20

65 Peices

Line 9 100% repair tools

50 singles, 10 crates of 5, 10 crates of 10, 5 crates of 25

325 peices

Line 10 AUK's

40 crates of 25

40 items

Grand total of 3596 items of Armorsmith sellable items on my 3 vendors

There is no way i can keep stock for more then a day of 1 item if this nerf goes though NO WAY!!!

I Also have some Weapons smith guildmates with well over 1k ranged weapons alone on there vendor!!!

How the heck are the bigger producers be able to play this game other then to log in stock till your full, hang around for a few things to sell, then replace it.

I also faild to say that in the list above does not inclued wookie armor, which im gathering for as we speak, thats another vendor and at least 100 suits of that... I mean come on, what am i ment to do, stand in my tent with crates of armor and sell them in trade windows????

Stupid is as stupid does!!! All I know my vendors will be packed to the gills before patch 10, if this nerf goes live..

Oh wait, didnt they try to do this to us before????? didnt we shut them dont then too????? There morons to think this, oh dont forget about those big resource vendors, first of all all they can sell in max 100k stacks, and they get millions of units a week, i mean COME ON!!! think Mcfly think!!!

I run a very busy active shop called Eclectic Edge on the Radiant server if this nerf goes into effect, I will not be able to run my shop unless I want to be a slave to the shop and never even have a day off. This will just not be worth the aggravation anymore and my shop will close.

The point is you're not supposed to be able to stock your vendors with thousand runs of items and completely corner the market making newer/smaller crafters completely unable to compete

I understand that, but I sell more suits of armor a day then some smaller crafters do in a month, why should my stock be limited to match theres?

When you go buy a car you go tom some small dealers with say 20-30 cars, but you also like to go to those mega stores that have the 3-4 level showrooms with thousands of cars, you can find the car and the color you want in 1 stop.

These dealers sell more cars in 1 day then the other small dealer can even stock. its the way of life, i did my time as a small timer, i payed my dues of gathering resources for almost a year now to have the best of the best and have hords of resources that i can produce like this.

Will you tell me i cant have 20 factories next?

People go to you because they know you always have a large stock, so they dont need to look elsewhere, and that is why you sell more than the smaller crafters, if you werent able to sell as many items at a time then shoppers would be forced to take their business elsewhere and the smaller crafters would sell more than they do now.

The devs dont want single crafters to monopolise the economy, they dont want 1 crafter able to supply the whole servers needs removing all competition....

Personally I dont agree these changes are going to help anyone but saying that this sucks because you wont be able to stock thousand runs of items is unlikely to convince them that they've made the wrong decision

As someone with a well stocked and successful furniture vendor, I break the 1000 item mark rather easily, and that's just with furniture and not even any of the houses or harvestors I also sell. If I could only put 110 items on my vendor, less actually since I'm not master merchant, I would have to restock at least 5 times a day to keep up with the demand. With this change it's not even worth my time to even run a furniture vendor even more because it's too much trouble, and the same goes for many other architects. This also goes for any other crafter that stocks their wares well. An Item cap is good yes, but there's such a thing as capping it way too short, and that's what the current cap will be.

I say catch and punish those who are abusing vendors to use them for storage rather than nerf every single crafter with a successful shop. All this low cap will do is discourage every single crafter and make their wares harder to sell, and thus harder for all other players. All this will do is stunt the server economies into atrophy.

I was unaware that it was a crime to be successful.

I built my business from the ground up by myself.

No helpers, no cross-server lot swaps.

Only a few guildmates to hold a couple of buildings for me.

I'm no mega-crafter, but I'm positioning myself to move up to that level in the next couple of months.

It's called "growing your business"

I've been playing this game for a year now and it's taken me this long to get to where I am.

New crafters need to experience the same struggles that I did (and still do).

Now I'm being punished for playing the game the way it was built to be played.

This change is unacceptable and I am not going to sit idly by and watch it happen.

It's time to take a stand and show the development staff that their priorities are out of order.

My proposal for acceptable item limits is here.

Firstly although I agree there should be some upper limit on vendor stock, it should no way be as low as it is here.. a weaponsmith can make about 100 different weapons, most people buy a couple at a time, maybe up the limit to 500 or so per vendor. I suspect the removal of vendors from those without business 3 will solve any database problems that may exist.

If the devs really think this, then they have misled us all along. For some people, playing a crafting profession is to build up a good business and take pride in the fact people use you above anyone else. Just like running a business in real life (financial aspects aside of course)

If someone is succesful - through their own efforts as I'm sure 99% of succesful crafters are - why should they be penalised, just to help the smaller guys? Perhaps next we could have enforced pricing for items, or those with smaller vendors get subsidies to compete with the bigger people?

Let's take our server Nancy - LK-Tech are obviously the first thing on most people's minds when you mention buying a weapon .. but that doesn't mean people can't make a good income from a weaponsmith vendor. I managed to make good money in under a month and there's no way I'm even at the top level. If LK-Tech want to run their vendors at real high capacity, why shouldn't they?
