Thread: Stealth feature for long time merchants?

I noticed yesterday that my vendors have a new set of options. I can now rotate them while they are initialized and selling wares. I was suprized by this as I had not seen this option on my other vendors. I have to visit all of them every week because some (DEV) has decreed that if they are ignored they will die. So I come and micromanage them. I then went back to the other vendors and they did NOT have the new options. Back to the one I saw the options on. Study more closely. There is an option to move the vendor. I try it. I get a system message that I must pick up and replace the vendor to move it. Now this is really cool but there is a lot of stuff on the vendor so I am not willing to pick her up right now not heavy just dont want to find out what happens to all that merchandise.

Then I realize that of my 12 vendors it is the first 3 I put down months ago that have the new options. I recheck and all the 9 vendors I placed AFTER the merchant revamp have the old tired options that do not include rotate and move. So anyone else notice this? I would /bug it ingame but I am at a loss to define the bug other than my new vendors dont have the option

A few people noticed this last week and it has been my observation that

1) Pretty much allof my vendors were placed after the 'revamp' a couple of weeks ago but the option only seems to be on my 'droid' vendors.

2) You have always been able to rotate the non-terminal vendors (except for the few days when they were bugged).

3) None of the 'move' options work.

But that's just me.

We have always been able to rotate vendors{initialized or not},

just could not move them front/back, pick-them-up, or more recently added move up/down.

The radial for eveything actually appeared directly after the fix for not being able to turn them at all,

which isnt much fun to have vendors faceing walls or terminals looking like a broken videogame.

I think it would be nice to have these options, except up/down as many fools would create floating untouchable vendors.

I myself would like our vendor status back to one of first on list, as with the movement radail it kicks it back to last choice.

Yes, you can rotate vendors.. NPC and terminals

Tho, they are not saved to locations.. next server reset will make them turn to originally first initiliased angle...

My old vendors have the option to rotate or move. My new vendors have NO options. Just the basic 3 use, examine, vendor control. I saw the long discussion about rotation but I have been a merchant since around Jan and have NEVER been able to rotate my vendors after they were initialized. Maybe that is why I get the old ones to be rotatable now and the new ones are not rotateable

I used to be able to rotate my vendors, and I noticed that I wasno longer ableto when I placed a new vendor for the new pre JTL clothing. I don't think it even let me rotate before I initialized it. There is a workaround I discovered. If you want to rotate a vendor that's not barking, (the barkers move way too much) set the vendor to bark. Walk around until the vendor barks at you and is facing the direction you need, and disable the barking command.

I had an interesting experience last night...I created an Ithorian vendor for my new space loot, and dropped him near the front door (in a medium Naboo house). Then, I picked him up (didn't initialize the vendor), and went to another part of the house....dropped the vendor there, but nothing happened. About 10 seconds later, I see the vendor running from the front door to where I'm standing..it was kinda funny

The option does not show on radial, use /rotatefurniture command, it has always worked that way, initialized or not. (except for this recent briefbug where we couldn't move them at all)

Not eveything we can do to objects is on the radial, most everything I do is a / command you have more options that way ( moveing objects 100units instead of 5, rotaing 180degrees at once, creating a vendor without being at the house terminal)

The rotate option appeared on my vendors in buildings I owned, but not in ones I just had admin rights.

That is a good point the 3 I have the rotate option for are in my tent. ALL the rest of the vendors (except 2 that I can check later tnite) are in the mall which I don't own.

As to commands not being on the radial that is good to know you can get them by / xxxx too bad there is not a sorted/organized list of all the possible commands. Or is there?

One of the lists I use -

Command List

Note that there area fewways to use one command sometimes.

My top used are

createvendor (do not have to be at house terminal, so makes the long haul of hiring easy since you can stay where you drop vendor)

structurestatus (for when i decorate, once again do not have to be at terminal)

bo tra (for use at starports/shuttle)

post script,

I forgot to mention not all lists seem complete.

The one postedis just one of several I use.

If I was more computer or word savvyI would combine them, butprint selected text is about my level
