Wow, what an uproar this little change has cause for all of you merchants. Its called Testcenter for a reason, thats where they test things. Guess what? On Monday (or probably Tuesday) they are going to raise your silly little limits. Now settle down and take a chill pill.

We merchants aren't getting screwed yet, don't worry. And quit saying protest this and protest that. When we actually need to protest something it won't sound quite as important then. Boy who cried wolf anyone?

And what? we're supposed to be HAPPY when they raise them by 50%? or if we're lucky 100%?? please.. that's not enuf items on a vendor for even a mom&pop type store.

if they msut have limits, start at 1000, and max at 10000. that's my vote.

and make it so you HAVE to have the merchant skill (or bizIII) to get a vendor. kill all the non-merchant vendors in the game!

hun if this happens you know the brandy, meds buff armor pets, food you use you will be paying a extreamly high price for those items.

why it will be hard for us to get supplies and baby sit our venders.

not all of us can get master

we have to master a profession to put items on our vender

profession to protect our selves while gathering resourse we need

profession to find ther resourses

profession to harvest and neg terrain.

so most of us have 1 maybe 2 venders.

limit us to 50 items its hum do i sell just brandy or a few and the mind food ops all gone in a day mean while im out running for supplies or in rl working.

so for my time to watch that vender drop another house to take up data space to hold the extra stuff that would have been on my vender to begin with you will be paying a lot higher prices.

tailors how will they offer a selection.

armor smiths will have to bag there suits.

get the idea what a pain this will be not just merchants but to everyone.

there are so many folks going to drop professions because of this nerf supplies will be even harder to find.

you ll run from planet to planet hoping.

well i hope you see why we are so upset.

Aren't you tired of these little useless changes that are being made... completely ignoring other issues that severely need to be addressed?
For me - and MOST other people... this is the straw that will break the camels' back.
Is it truely absurd to be upset about a change in the game that will completely disrupt, or worsen the already screwed up economy? A change that has no relevance in any aspect except to lighten the database load.

Why not express our distaste about this topic BEFORE they implement it.

I spend a good deal of time in this game (maybe too much)
I would have cancelled my subscription on the spot... had they implemented it without warning.
I don't wanna do that.

Dude. This was put out as a post that these changes were happening. Not just on testcenter. Nowhere did it say anything about it JUST being tested and theydeletedthe postwhen people started to raise hell. I saw the original post just before it was deleted. Oh no. They weren't just testing it. They were PLANNING on it.

And besides, how can something like this be tested on testcenter? Testcenter has no economy.

Ah they deleted it. Was wondering why I couldnt find the thread. And you know what, the only way to get a "fix" (for something that isn't broken) is to rant because the devs don't listen to us otherwise.

Posts like this make no sense to me. Of course it is on test center, but when are people supposed to raise a fuss over it? When it gets into live it is TOO LATE. Maybe people wouldnt keep protesting things like this and COmbat Balance delay and things were not announced on friday and making everyone wait for 3 days for a response. This is exactly the time to speak up.

Until you join Test Center and do your part, you're not entitled to input on the opinions of those who have.

You seem the sort who expects others to do the work for them, while wanting to tell them how they should do it.

I speak from the voice of experience, while all you have is an attitude. I've seen serious bugs and issues that were reported by many TC players and still made it to Live. I do not share your confidence that this will definitely be adjusted.

What's more, the changes broke vendors outright: Items are disappearing, merchants are not always receiving payment for items that sell, and merchants are not always receiving the proper merchant xp. They're going to be far too busy to worry about the limit if they need to fix all that.

And IF these problems are not fixed, will you be able to say you've done your part?

It's a test server, yes, but no way are they putting up stuff there for sh|ts'n giggles. These low limits clearly shows their intent of low item limits, and that's what the uproar is about, and if there had been no objections, or even just minor objections, to these limits, they'd have gone to live the way they were announced. That really is a no-brainer, and complaining about the complaints is more or less a waste of forum space (as if 90% of the forum wasn't already exactly that, but that's a different issue). You apparently think this isn't an issue worth protesting (seeing as you say we should all stop protesting so that when there's actually a reason to protest it won't get ignored), so it's painfully obvious you're completely ignorant of both the immediate and the long term consequences of these announced changes. Any chance you're actually a dev perhaps?

Personally I think the same thing will happen to this that happened to the crafting-nerf a couple of months ago. The massive complaints made SOE pull the entire proposed change, chances are they'll do the same this time, or atleast increase the item limits significantly. And it will be thanks to this uproar you're complaining about.

Think. It helps.

Heh... I still remember the patch they botched so horribly that it had the game offline for 22 hours.

Was that #3 or #4?
