Thread: Vendor Removal

Can someone please direct me to the policy concerning deleting of vendors that have no items for sale? I was under the impression that a warning would be mailed before this occurred. However, when I logged on today, my storage vendor had been deleted with no warning. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Report this immediately to a CSR.

If it's dealt with in time, they might be able to recover it for you.

Arg, this happened to me too.

Today I entered my friend's house near Coronet that had my storage vendor and I recieved an email telling me the vendor had been deleted...

I don't know when it was deleted, but I'm praying that it can be recovered. I had more than 4Mil worth of stuff in there

Vendors do not exist in the world until loaded,

if you do not load a vendor daily then maint, item updates, etc may not actually be sent 'on time'

which may then create problems when the vendor is actually loaded into the world.

anytime anything like that happens, ticket it immediatly.

the longer you wait the less likely anything can/will be retreived.

Now I'm concerned.... how much activity does a vendor require in order to keep it in the game? Would retrieving, stocking and pulling items off it on a bi-daily basis do the trick? I have my entire game's wealth in resources on one vendor lol

It is supposed to require interaction at least once every two weeks.

Vendors are meant to sell things, not to use as storage.

If you are using them as storage you have to accept the risks that go along with doing so.

just loading it, making it pop into the world by entering the room it is in, keeps it updated,

if your maint is paid and you load it up even every other day you should be fine

do not let it go empty, and take time to reload when you can,

but do not forget..they are not intended storage containers.

Understandable

I just lack the multiple accounts that some people have... hard to keep up with all the harvesting, factories and everything just with one character, gotta resort to the vendor hehe

My vendor that was in a fully active tent just vanished...I logged on apil 29th and put 1 iteam up on each of my vendors for 9999999 until I could get around to pulling off 2000 iteams into my inventory and relist for sale...I not only had a iteam for sale I had roughly 100 days in maitnnace and a full stockroom of stuff that had longer stockroom days due to the fact I withdrew my sales and they didnt expire..so they all said they had roughly 45 days in the stockroom left...Now please explain how my vendor vanished..From what I have read in the forums..nobody has gave any reason...I got no emails..no warnings...I am in my tent almost everyday...as well as other regular customers..so the vendor was definatly loaded in on a daily basis..I have read that peoples vendors are disappearing until restart BUT they have stated they can still see the iteams from another vendor...This is not the case for me...

While I have a storage vendor, I also millions ofcreds worth of stuff up for legitimate sale, too. My worst nightmare is that they'll go poof due toa bug. It makes being a Merchant rather terrifying some days.

most vendor deletions are not due to bugs, but neglect to access/pay the vendor. if you use a vendor to hold your stuff, then you should make sure you access it at least once every 2 weeks... put someone in, take something out, etc.
