On the new Galaxy widevendorlisting, how does the game decide what page todisplay merchandise on?

You might have well have asked Abraham Lincoln this question. He has the same likelyhood of posting here as a red name.

Just for kicks:
Past and Current Red Name Responses on the Merchant Forum:
Thunderheart: 4 Last Posted 8/15/2004 (About the Vendor Item Limits)
Tiggs: 2 Last Posted 1/26/2005 (Both posts are about My Retirement and Elyssa's selection)
SoeTyrant: 0
GreenMarine: 0 (Disappointing since he wrote most of the original code for the merchant profession)
Q-3P0: 4 Last Posted on 8/25/2003

So there you go 20 Posts total on the Forum.
For the record Abraham Lincoln has not posted on this forum to my knowledge.

Oh, I know. I just did a parody of Tiggs "stop pestering us" message a while ago, so I have full knowledged of their policy and am under NO delusion that they will respond, or even read this thread.
But the subject needed to be aired.
Why have some of us been on the first page every day, and others buried on page 20 the entire time? Why does my one small tat house appear on page after page after page... but the bulk of my stuff is on page 7 or later? How does the system pick what to display and in what order... that is a HUGE question when you have thousands of items in a category.

My assumption is that the listings are supposed to appear on pages based on when they were entered into the database. I don't know if that is supposed to be based on the current sale date (i.e. it changes when you put it back up for sale) or the original database entry order. The duplication seems to be a bug probably connected to a change in the number of items listed on each page.

Can anyone tell me how to do such a check quickly--or is the only way to follow the Dev tracker back to the start?
Never mind. But the search feature is telling me "too many searches in progress." heh.
I'll look at architect if it's quick.

I'm betting that it depends on when the vendor is loaded in-game. But since not all your merchandise shows up on in the first few pages and the fact that the refresh search repeats items from other pages, might be hard to figure out.

That's more patience than I would have when the search system is overloaded!
My favorite Yet Another Annoying Thing about the Forum Search is when you select Advanced and get the "Too many searches..." page. I haven't started my search yet! Besides, if there is a search involved in showing the Advanced Message Search page they really should look at making it static. (The only thing I can think of is that it does a search to make the list of boards.)

Heh, yeah I get rather frustrated too. Even more so when you can't go back and have to redo the search with all the entries.

It took me the better part of an hour to compile that with the search system. Basically the trick is just keep refreshing the search page until it goes through.

I don't think so. The first day the thing went live, I didnt' log on until late in the day, spent the evening servicing harvesters, and finally got back to my shop about 10pm local. I listed my merchants and then went to check the bazaar. I was on mostly on page 7.
Yesterday, I logged in for a minute to load the shop before I went to work: 7am central. When I got home and checked,my stuff was mostly on pages 9 and 10, EXCEPT for this one lonely small tat house that insists on showing up on every page.
I've seen suggestions of: Serial number, oldest on vendor, newest on vendor, time of vendor registration, and so on. So far, the vendor registration seems likely, but I've only checked deeds. I'll look at furniture next chance i get.

Opera remembers your form entries when you back up, and can restore a recently-closed window complete with history when you accidentally close the one with the search in it.
