Items can now be listed for a max price of 20k. This was not acknowledged by the devs, and was put in w/out telling anyone or asking for any feedback.
Because they know exactly what the feedback would be. Another hit on the stake they're slowly driving into the heart of the merchant profession.
Call me a conspiracy theorist if you will, but I give it 6 months until the merchant/vendor system is removed entirely, and the bazaar operates like the Marketplace in that "other game".

I believe this was in the patch notes for the patch last week. I actually like this change, even though it hurts merchants a bit. 6k was too low. But the borked vendor listings need to be overhauled, and tied to merchant ability.
And ya - they love nerfing merchants. I think we have officially been nerfed more than smugglers now.

It was slipped into the patch notes after it went live.
6k or 20k the problem with the bazaar has always been that the upper limit sets the price on items and creates a market force that shouldn't exist. It mostly means that a whole host of items that used to be 6k will be 20k and another whole host of items that used to be 25-50k will be 20k. There is no logic to it. Just it can be sold for 20k so it will be.

Hehe I added my vendors to the Galaxy Wide Search, and it is overflown already
I have over 1500 2 handed weapons and VK's in those vendors, and now the searchers will haev to go through 14 pages of my weapons alone. Well happy searching for that cheap and best weapon, since loads are cheap ones.
I think the entire Galaxy Wide Vendor Search isa hoax, because with all the borked search options and categories, the Bazaar is totally useless. They should add a good Search option, at which you can search by weapon and not just by type (so Power Hammer instead of 2-handed Melee Weapon).

I'm uncertain how much I added to the mess of the galactic vendor search. I figure around 3000 items.

and then there are those of us who inadvertantly sold items that was 6k auctions 'adverts' because the limit went up, SOE told no one (initially) and there wasnt any thought by SOE to protect the existing system (i.e. auctions) against the change
/me is not a happy camper right now because of this

Some advance warning would have been nice...a lot of folks routinely placed premium items or loot for 6k auction as a form of advertisement....with this latest publish...bye bye items

Indeed, that would be good ... it would also be nice if my items were actually LISTED on the Vendor Search ... it hurts your sales a GREAT deal when the one place where people would expect to find EVERYTHING doesn't have your items...

Does this galaxy wide vendor search even work? I listed all my vendors, but whenever I go to the bazaar and actually find anything on a vendor I can't find anything not on a bazaar.

There's a tab on the top right that says vendor search. Use that and check planet or galaxy and you should see the vendors. The search is not directly linked to all the bazaar items. Just uses the same interface and terminal.

They did sneak this in there... I hate the bazaar and it seems like they wanna do away with merchants completely. No use tying up all those skill points really... just toss all your stuff on the bazaar and be done with it. I would have been (and am) angry with the increase.
