Thread: The Ultimate Merchant Macro by Athos

Took me a little testing and tweaking but I came up with a killer macro for merchant. I've seen macros that will target and open one vendor over and over, but I've never seen one that will cycle through all of them like mine does. Have a look and post feedback on how its working for you!!

In order for this macro to work efficiently, you should not select anything on your way to the shop. If you selected your speeder, put it away. When you get into the room with all the vendors, click each one once, then click empty space to deselect all. You can now start the macro.

If you happen to have selected something in the area of the shop, the macro will still run, but there will be an extra step and it will not go as smoothly.

Once you have done those instructions, run this macro:

Name the macro "vendors"
/afk;

/ui action cycleTargetNext;
/ui action vendorUse;
/pause 5;

/afk;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 55;
/macro vendors;

It will cycle by itself, and each cycle it will select the next thing in your target queue, which happen to be the vendors you just clicked.

afk's are in there so you don't get booted by the server. You can run this for hours.

Hope this helps you! It definatly speeds things up! Hell, if you force 3 friends to afk this all night for you, you'll be done in no time. Just make sure you go up the management tree first so you get all those lovely vendors, and make sure the people who will be AFKing for you won't get booted by your access fee!

make sure you have it typed in right. it should pop up a vendor window just like your character was opening it.

I've been running it for over a week now durring the nights and its worked great for me

theres a good chance that you acidentally targeted other things before running the macro. If you have anything (say a durni) targeted before you run this macro, it will try to open the durni as a vendor and you will get Vendor is malfunctioning even though the durni is just a bunny and not a vendor.

thats all I can think of. I've only gotten that message in that scenario.

Hope that helps

can you do this with your main character or do you need a second account for it?

main character doesnt get xp for himself by looking at his own vendors, so you'll need to sucker some friends into leaving their characters on while they're not around or use an alt.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! After the day I had... this is the bes tthing that could happen to me.

hehe

Glad I could help!

This might also be a way to earn some cash for people wanting to grind merchant, just like tumblers get paid by the hour to do what they do for docs.

Merchant xp being so slow as it is, there may be some money in it for those who just want to pay to grind through professions like some do.

Thats how I am, but instead of paying through this profession, I sat down and made this macro!

Glad its working nicely for you!
