Anyone else having problems with Ad Barking?

Overall the system is good, though personally I think you should be able to select more then one of the actions so you could setup some variety to your vendor, also there needs to be a 'misc' option for the types of goods you are selling.

The real problem is off course like most things with this profession it just doesnt work properly. For the most part my vendor will bark his Ad when I leave the house. Not enter, not when I run past it, but leave it which of course is just stupid. Even then I get a response out of him only about 60% of the time, lots of times he stands there saying nothing.

Ad barking needs to have a large range, maybe thewidth of the housetacked on to all sides,in my opinion to counter the fact that we cant build our vendors on our steps where folks can see them, or in town were folks actually are, etc. They should also work when folks first enter the area, so they are alerted to thevendor and hopefully intregiued enough tosee what its selling.

it's the first level of advertising in merchant.

I have a lot of probelms with it also. It randomly works it seems. It will work really good for 10 minutes and then say nothing for the next hour to people.

Ad Barking comes at what merchant level?

Last night I couldnt even get him to bark his add once. I had 5 different people go in and out and none of them heard him say anything, I am guessing he is broken and I will have to reset it.

Mine doesnt respond any more. Going to reset him tonight and see if I can get it working tonight.

Needless to say ad barking isnt working even remotely as well as it should, which isnt really that suprising given the overall state of the game, paying for beta rocks!

How would one go about "resetting" his vendor? Do I need to remove all stock first?

Mine didn't talk to me this morning <sniff>. I disabled ad barking and re-enabled and now he talks again. Was looking forward to customizing his greeting - hope this gets fixed.

Add Barking keeps turning itself off on my vendor... I've only had this NPC vendor placed for half a day too and already its bugged.

Mine too is spiratic. Works sometimes and doesn't other times. Hoping to see that resolved soon as that's a big part of the merchant class.

Last night I went to retrieve items from a vendor that was ad barking enabled but had stopped working and it wouldnt let me. I turned off ad barking and I was able to retrieve the items.

When you think about it there is no skill that really works for Merchants other then numbers and variety of vendors, everything else sorta works, sometimes but not really.

The barking works intermitently for me. Also, customize doesn't do anything for me. I select the option, but nothing happens.

same result, customize is broken and standard only works sometimes.. it seems to work for a few hours after you set it and then it will just stop.

I had a vendor placed in a house (I don't own, so owner had to place it even though I've got admin rights) and there's not yet an ad barking option on the vendor now. Vendor was placed before I had advertising, do I need to pull everything off and reset the vendor before I get the option??
