As a foreword, I'm not a Jedi yet.. so treat what I say with some degree of "n00bness"...

As I understand it you gain a TEF now as soon as you use a lightsabre in battle (previously I believe it was using Force powers in front of an Imperial).

Does this happen regardless of there actually being any players around you or not? Can you be in the wilderness on some remote planet, with no one in /who range at all, and still get TEF'd as soon as you start using the sabre?

If this is the case, surely the DEVs should change the system so that you can only receive a TEF with someone in actual visual range of you, to be able to see you use Force powers/lightsabre. Also, said person should obviously be the opposite faction of whatever you happen to be (Imperial for regular Jedi, Rebel for Dark Jedi). It makes no logical sense at all that a Rebel, upon seeing a Rebel Jedi, should seek to get them killed.

From a realism perspective, if an Imperial saw a player Jedi wielding a sabre or using Force powers, he/she would probably report this event to his/her superiors and thus the information would spread throughout the Imperial system (although this happens instantly witha TEF, technically it should happen over a period of time). Technically speaking the TEF should spread organically - i.e. if an Imperial sees you on Endor, you have a TEF on that planet (since he/she could communicate across Imperial channels on the planet).. that TEF shouldn't spread beyond Endor until that Imperial, or another, takes a shuttle back to another planet - at which point it would spread there, and so on until every Imperial in the system had a TEF (i.e. the current system).

This would probably make a Jedis life a bit more bearable than it is currently, and would certainly make the whole system more realistic?

Thoughts? Flames?

Whenever a Jedi uses a force power/saber in front of someone their visibility meter goes up, and I am guessing the more people that are around the faster it goes.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I think even when you just have your saber extended and someone sees you.

I need to make my store more visible.

I cannot relocate the store, but otherwise I am open to anything.

Other than spamming near starports, and posting a few bazzaar items, what else can I do?

One great Idea I saw was a guy who had a pet sit near the starport, and this pet's name was orange, about 3 lines long, with a great description of the store.

How would you do that, I wonder. Any idea?

OK can someone please explain to me how visibility works.
Is it something that degrades over time if you don’t accrue anymore of it of
just it stay with you until you get killed by a bounty hunter?
How do you get it? Do you get it when you use it around any PC, or NPC or both?
Do you get less visibility if you are in a group with the PC that is around you?
If you get it form using it around NPC do you still get it if all the ones that
see you are dead?
Better yet dose anyone now the answer to these questions LOL.
Any thing you know though would be a great help.

I have a few questions on Visibility hopefully a few of you guys can answer:

Do you gain Visibility fighting NPC?

Do you gain Visibility by hunting with another Jedi?

Is Visibility only counted if you are seen using Force Powers/Lightsaber by a real player?

Just had a reply from a CSR regarding visibility - he basically confirmed that every time you gain experience from using the force, saber or powers, your visibility increases. Doesn't matter if anyone is around, doesn't matter if you kill npcs - if you use the force, you gain visibility.

How accurate this information is is open for debate - CSRs have been wrong before.
