Thread: 30 Day Auction Limit on PERSONAL VENDORS, (not bazaar) should be removed.

The 30 daylimit will make it possible for merchants who quit to have their vendor disappear from the planetary map after a while (when they fix it of course), without it we would have a lot of 'dead' vendors on the map that are never restocked, but that don't disappear because of a few items that don't get sold.

If you have too much to restock, I would think that you just need to reduce your stock to things that sell better... In any case it's so much better than the 7 days it used to be.

I am a Master Merchent, and a Master tailor. I have 5 shops on 5 worlds sellingjust clotheswith over 1000 plus items in stock. At the moment i'm seriously considering dropping this line of work, because haveing to restock sometimes 700 items a month is crazy. I do a lot of buisness, but one thing that keeps customers coming back is a LARGE stock.

Is there any plans to allow Personal Vendors to at least maintain their auction? Unlimited time on the vendor, as long as the maintenance is paid on it should be the norm.

In a nutshell, we should be permitted to have our auctions go for unlimited time on our OWN personal vendors.

The 30 day limit is to keep you from leaving the game and your stuff stays around forever. We are asking that they make the task of restocking much easier with some new tools to put items back up for sale in batches instead of one at a time.

I'd be in favour of being able to select a block of goods and have a radial option "Resell". The resell option puts the item back on the vendor at its original price (and on the right vendor) with a minimum of fuss and hastle.

Its already set up that, by looking using the "Details" button of an item in the stockroom shows you what it was for sale for, so I don't see how hard it would be to have a "Resell" button and a "Resell All" one too....

The 30 day limit is there to prevent people from using vendors as infinate storage devices. You can make an "inventory" vendor by placing an obscene entry fee on a house and placing the items you wish to store on the vendor for an outragious price. The 30 day limit is to make it too inconvienient to use a vendor to increase storage space, thereby making the database happy.....

I have 716 items for sale on 5 vendors as of last log-out, and I've tried to stagger them so that they don't all hit my storeroom at once, but it gets difficult when item sales are sporadic and resource stack sizes are inconsistant (try telling a Ranger you only want "rounded" stacks of organics).

I think a better interface with the vendors is needed to streamline the key/clicks needed for reposting, but the 30day limit needs to stay.

Oh I know that, what I meant was that the item then gets placed back on the vendor at the old price with one click. At present, you select resell, it brings up the resell window, you click again and wait and in it goes.

I probably should of clarifiedwhat I postedby saying there should be a "resell" button and a "amend sale" button. Resell puts it straight back on without the need to edit, and Amend Sale allows you to adjust prices, add info, etc.

Thank the gods. As much as I support the end of merchant poaching, I would rather have the devs work on management tools first, and then poaching second. Wouldn't be so bad if it were'nt for the lag to add each item to the vendor - can at times drive you mad.

Oh yea..I stocked weapons .. at one time 4 or 5 of every one craftable and they expired CONSTANTLY..every night it was restocking something.. 30 days is much better but restocking could be a lot easier than it is now which would take the sting out of having to do it once a month.

Yeah as much as I hate to get those emails withotu the 30 day limit we would have vendors that never are attended. Personally I think the mex time a vendor can be paid for maintenance should be changed to 60 days, IMO. Too many people have had to redeed structures for players leaving the game with vendors that have 400k maintenance on them.

Greets ...

NO to the never ending sale ... 30 days is fine.

YES to a "resell" option.

Button would be ok in the Sell Window, but I would rather have a radial option tht works when you select a 'group' of items from the stockroom, that would be ideal, but harder to program.

YES to vendors being removed from the planetary when they go empty.

YES to 4 day work weeks.

YES to a chicken in Every Pot

Errr .. I think I got off topic a bit ...

It wouldn't even have to be a radial item, if we could just multiple highlight ( say 50 items at a time) and hit resell. I have over 8k items in stock on 6 vendors ( tailor)( yes, the vendor limit is going to kill me). The 7 day limit as a master artisan/ armorsmith used to send me screaming. The 30 day limit is fine. I also think that when everything falls off, your vendor should be delisted.
