And I wanted to buy some Vasarian Brandy on Corellia. Looking at the map (ctrl-v), I saw 4...count them...4 vendors listed that sold food.

It's a whole different world out there with the empty vendors off the map.

Keep in mind that vendors have to load before you'll see them on the map (it's this way on live, too) and with the drastically reduced population of TC2, the vast majority of vendors would never load into the world to be listed in the first place.

Well, TC2 did reach a population of 2200 at one point, but they reduced the cap to 1000, so your point is well taken. I hadn't thought about that.

Still it was pleasant to know when I checked a vendor there would be something on it, even if it didn't have what I needed.

They wouldn't have to be.

All the shops on Bria would have been copied there.

LOL my problem is if I spend the points to get enough points to sell my food none are left to advertise, so a lot of people that do have stocked vendors won't be on the map

btw I tested this feature on TC over the weekend. The second the last item is removed from the vendor the vendor removes itself and sends the owner an email telling him that it was removed from the vendor map and that the vendor will be deleted if it is left empty.

Will the deletion take place the nxt day?

I am wondering what happens if say Joe has business 3 and 50 items on their vendor and doesnt get on for a day or two and their vendor gets emptied/disappears during that timeif they will in turn lose the maint money in it?

I usually keep 50-100k cr in maint in my vendors and am wondering if I will need to lower that if/when caps go live, lestI lose large chunks of moneybecause I sold out and didnt/wasnt able to log in from the point it sold out to the point of the nxt server reset.

This could be an annoying grief-type tactic if people started raiding vendors late at night and the vendor then came off the map and was then destroyed before the owner found out about it. (Mostly an annoyance).

Currently the time limit is 2 weeks without items before deletion occurs.

Hey Doc, have the messed with the item cap at all?

I am an SOE customer, now only if they'd treat me as one...hell, I'd be happy if they treated me like a McDonald's customer.

I would like it to be 3 weeks. I think that gives everyone time for a vacation without worrying about vendors being deleted.

You can put 1 item for 99,999,999 credit to make sure it's around for 30 days :-)
