Thread: In-Store Background Music
I'm not sure if this has been suggested before so pardon me if I am stepping on someone else's creative shoes. We've all been to the NPC merchant trainer at one time or another and for those who have stopped to listen there is some rather appropriate music playing in the background.
While I'm not advocating virtual muzak (rather redundant phrase), it would be an interesting feature/ability to add to the merchant tree and would certainly give shops some added flavor. Perhaps there could be a selection of ambient music which grows as your merchant abilities increases. I'm not sure what skill line would be best but I for one would welcome it.
Does anyone have any thoughts on such a feature?
Actually, just last week a guild member and I were talking about this. And I think it's a great idea. We were also talking about how a lot of in-city furniture should be available to Architects too, such as the counters to look more like a shop/store.
It would be nice to have a little snazzy music in the background, and have 3 or 4 different music types or songs to select from. ![]()
Good idea!
They could throw it in the advertising branch, maybe giving us 1 new choice per level, plus 1 for Master.
I'd also like to be able to dim the lights in a building.
I agree, I want music as well...
I think there should be a Music Droid, and we can pick from 4 or 5 diffrent tunes.
The key is that you do not have to click on it to hear it, just being near it and you hear the music.
Wonderful idea!
I had already given one of my vendors a musical instrument to set a relaxing tone to the shop and this would be a great complement to that ![]()
I agree completely marqie it must be passively heared by everyone entering the store as it is in NPC Merchant shops.
I'd say at the very least a new option in the existing house management tool if you have the correct skills. Much like creating a vendor there could be a window with a list of songs to choose from that increases with skill. And of course, give Master Merchants the highest number of background music selections ![]()
Just a thought to puff up the rather thin trees.
