This may not be the perfect forum to post this, but Im not sure where else to put it. Since many power sellers post here and most merchants use power in mining and manufacturing I think its relevant.

I sell power on several servers with the assistance of a few friends and something disturbing seems to be going on with the introduction of the new radioactive. Ive been checking SWG craft and havent seen any new power-grade radioactive spawning since the new polymetric arrived, which in some places doesnt matter if it has a high PE, but if it comes it at some ungodly low level its useless as power. The problem here is that most of the time only 1 known radioactive is spawning at any given time, once in a while you may get two and in rare instances 3 but thats very unusual. If the only power in the galaxy available for a full 7-10 day shift has a sub-500 PE and in some cases sub-100, this gives me major problems.

Right now I have two servers that I cant drop on because the only thing available is useless polymetric, which means that some very large customers of mine will not be getting any power. Now in some cases this stuff could have a high OQ and be usable for manufacturing, but thats not going to help my power customers any.

I think the devs need to move the new radiaoctive to the Unknown category and have it spawn irregularly instead of spawning it in place of the grades of power that the galaxy depends on to keep the wheels of industry turning. This could seriously impact my ability to provide what my customers need to operate, not to mention sideline me for one or two weeks a month. And, of course, when high demand resources become scarce prices will go up, which in this case will roll over into the prices of not only radiaoctive power but what manufacturers have to charge for their bgoods in light of increased power prices.

Any other power miners input is particularly welcome!

Try being a WS right now. There is 15 different types of iron, and only 2 or 3 steel/copper/aluminum spawns. And none of it is very good.

I have just had to give up a few spaces and drop some wind turbines right now so I can get some power.

We have a good Iron spawn on Infinity right now. OQ is 967. I had 6 Harvestors sat on a 81% spawn.... then the power started to dry up. Same as you I had to drop 3 Wind Turbs on some crappy 47% spawn :S

I take what I said back. Today PE1000 radioactive has spawned all over Lowca along with a few other types of radioactive. Maybe they fixed it today.

From what I understand, the polymeric radioactive will only spawn on 1 planet per server. This will be in addition to the normal radioactive spawns. So basically you have the regular resource system running as usual. Then you have these 6 JTL resources which spawn as a bonus on only one planet at a time.
