Crafting
* Allowed survey/sampling while on mounts
Player Structures
* All maintenance fees will automatically attempt to deduct from Bank accounts after the maintenance pool has been depleted. Once a structure reaches 0 hitpoints, it will flag itself as condemned instead of deleting itself. Condemned houses are not enterable, and all other structures are not usable. To uncondemn a house, simply enter it with enough money in the bank to pay the repair cost. To uncondemn all other structures, use them with enough money in the bank to pay the costs.
Vendors
* Fixed an issue with vendors where you had less then the maximum amount but you couldn’t place a vendor
* Player and vendor must be in the same building for the player to be allowed to initialize the vendor.

We are still trying to get clarification on that Player Stuctures one..its very very badly written. (Probably makes perfect sense to the Developer who wrote it)
Not sure how people were initializing vendors from different buildings..thats just odd

The player structure one is a blessing and a curse. A guildie just lost his house and all his items because he did not have enough maintence in it while he was on vacation.
The downside is of course buildings sitting around forever that are condemned. Character Purge is coming though so that might help.
As for the Merchant stuff, that initializing remotely thing does sound weird.

I am a little uneasy about this. There is no doubt that there does exist a "time warp" bug, and it has destroyed countless stuctures in the game. This bug makes the maintenanc of the structure drain instantly due to the belief that a LOT more time has passed than really has.
I lost 4 (empty) wearables factories to this a couple weeks ago. THey all had at least 20 days maint in them. A few days after I dropped them, they all went away.
So imaginee the stress you will feel if you log in and see your 7 digit bank account now has 3 digits because the time-warp bug took all your money to feed itself.

Probably should keep all your money in cash, then, since it don't seem to have any downside.

Player Structures

I think this is a bad idea. There are locations where people constantly fight for enough space to set down a shop. Just outside Coronet being one of them. If a building is no longer deleted do to lack of maintenance, then the shop could stay there indefinately assuming the person pays his/her SWG subscription at least once every six months. This stagnates an area because new players with new shops can't move in.
I was a fortunate one and happened apon an open lot in the first row just outside Coronet. I was able to get it because the old shop owner had quit the game and eventually the maintenance in the building had run out. It was deleted and I spotted it later that day.I was in the right place at the right time. Now if anyone wants one of these first row lots, they must wait until the day of a character wipe and hope that he/she isone of the first ones on the server after it's been rebooted. Otherwise they are just plain out of luck.
You know there will be people on each server that will try to hoard the best lots the morning of the character wipe just to resell the locations for millions of credits. That just won't be fair to new players.

We have an issue on my server (and specifically my shop) where the original owner is MIA. This change brings up 2 problems that I can see. 1) The house will poof when the MIA owner's char gets purged thereby wasting all the other vendors in the house NOT owned by him (me along with the 2-3 other people still in the house with active vendors) and 2) between purges there's going to be alot of condemned buildings because alot of people have millions in the bank. I know for a fact that the owner of the building I'm in had millions in the bank and that house isn't going anywhere until the char purge. The main commerce district on our server runs where one person owns the building, but several different chars have vendors in each store. This can't be a Shadowfire-only occurence and I can't be the only one concerned about this impending change. Is there a better place to post this concern? -Icog

As to the first part if you have a vendor in a building owned by someone long since cancelled I would move it very soon.
The second part I don't understand where you are going. If someone has millions in the bank and they are not on..their house won't poof and it won't be condemed until they run out of money. The house maintenance will continue to be paid until they run out of money in the bank and then (assuming no one else pays for it) will be condemmed only when it reaches 0%.

Do you need to be the owner of the building or just on admin?

Its a good question. I don't know yet. I assumed you had to be the owner but I haven't seen any testing data on that yet.

Seems like it should be admin, there's just too many bugs, IMO, still dealing with the maint bug. Now you've opened a manner in which if the owner is not around people are cut off from their vendors.

I think it only fair that something be done about this then. I am in a guild owned house (most havegone to WoW and I don't know if they will be back)and I am on the admin list. Is it possible to prevent either:
1. The owner deleting the house with active vendors
2. SOE just doing a character purge taking structures with them
Might I suggest a known 30 day window including if a character wants to delete a structure with known operational vendors in the structure.
I would think wewould haveample time to know when a character purge is coming. This would only be fair. Is it possible to find out if an account has been cancelled or if one is up for the purge? Also, if structures are maintained and the toon in question characteris still saved by SOE is there no alternative to just deletion? Is there a way that structure can be transferred to another player? Or simply can something like this be done? Surely SOE knows who owns which vendors. I would gladly give one of my lots for the spot we have. If maintenance is paid, I just don't see why something cannot be worked out or the structure be transferred.
