Thread: Vendor Making Process

OK, I'm a master Merchant and I have a big complaint. When ever I try to choose a NPC vendor I always get these people who look like lying creeps or who would steal from you. They're aweful looking. Here's some images of a Random Vendor, Random Vendor 2, Random Vendor 3, Random Vendor 4, Random Vendor 5.

I would never hire some NPCwho looked like that. Even if it was to take out the trash, cause by the looks they'd prolly steal the trash if thats all they could do.

I think they're needs to be some kind of new system where you dont get bright blue hair or dumb things thats come from the random chooser on making a character. Or at least let us choose hair color or thesize of them or whatever. Something better than a random selector.

That is rather a scary line-up. I would be quite happy to pay an ID to do work on my vendors so I can have them the way I like, and that would benefit both professions

me 3!!!

as a tailor, it is kind of important to me that my vendors reflect the style and class of my establishment. and as a working person, I cannot spend 2 hours making, naming, destroying to get them.

and it "would" benefit the ID class to a point.

as a side comment on those screenshots - if you were selling sliced goods, they would be perfect!!!

You really have to stop hiring ragtag kooks!

Seriously, my toon looks a bit like your random vendor 4... expect a visit from my lawyer.

LOL I know, I'm a tailor too, and it's so hard to get a vendor that doesn't have a pot belly......I'm supposed to put evening dresses, and dancer wear on girls with pot bellies?

It use to be a but better before ID's got the extended range of hair colours and such. Nevertheless, spending an hour or two to get a decent looking human is not uncommon (I once spend 5 hours to get a vendor to sell drinks for a wedding). On a side note, some of the alien's do not as a large a variety as humans do, so they are easier to get decent looking.
And if all else fail, there are the terminal vendors

The Random Vendor 4 guy just scared me.

I mean the hot pink pants that he's got on is all the sign I needed to fire him.

No job for you!

I recently got a new video card, and freaked out when I realized how old my main vendor is

then I had to create a new vendor, and had to settle on someone with huge yellow eyebrows and green lips because she was the only one I can get that's not old and/or overly ugly

Next time you should settle for middle-aged and slightly ugly.

Actually one time right after we were granted 12 vendors

Ihad this idea to do vendors by color...

You want to talk about a long tedious creation process.

It took me far longer to make them then they were even standing!

It still makes me laugh black was so tiny and white was so big compared to the colors.
