4000 is your limit period, you can sell up to 4000 items whether it is spread out on all 12 vendors or shoved onto just 1.
The limit is your full allowable for sell items.
You are allowed up to 12 vendors, you can place them all or just 1. There is no set limit for what each vendor must carry.

Also keep in mind that items inside of packs DO count against your item limit but the pack itself won't.
Empty packs count as 1 item.

Do you have a CSR name that told you that the limit was 110 per vendor and 6 vendors?
The limit is 12 vendors and 4k items total. The 6 vendor 110 item limit was a propsal that never made if to live.

That's correct.

If memory serves, that was the Dev's first offer (and it caused quite an outcry).
At master merchant, the limit is 12 vendors with 4000 items total across all vendors.
Items in packs DO count but not the pack itself unless it's empty.

Clicky. I don't know where TH's original post wandered off to, but I have it copied in this swgtailor article (and the numbers are all in the FAQ, above.)

I am a Master Merchant. I have several vendors in different locations. I have a total of 11 vendors including one I use for storage in my house. All my vendors are up to date with maintenance and I relisted all items after the CU. Today, I was setting up a vendor and when I went to list an item, I got an error message that said "This vendor is at it's maximum capacity and cannot accept any more items for sale." I figured I reached my 4000 item vendor item limit. No problem. So, I went to one of my vendors and just withdrew the sale for about 100 items. Then, I had no problems listing items.
After several sales throughout the last couple day, I figured more room was freed up for me to list some more items. I listed a couple items with no problems. Then, when I went to list a travel pack with some resources on my storage vendor, I got that same message again. So, I went to one of my vendors and withdrew the sale of a bunch of items, then I went back to my storage vendor to list the travel pack with the resources. Unfortunately, I got the same message.
Now, I can't list anymore items on my vendors. I tried on several vendors. I have had several sales in the mean time, so I figured room was freed up, but I still can't list any items, not even single items (as opposed to the travel pack with resources).
Has anyone ever had this problem? I would appreciate any help before I submit a CSR ticket.
thanks,
Elyssa

You should do a count on the number of items in your vendors.
Remember, items inside a container DO count against your item limit.
The item count shown on the vendor interface window is not a true count.
The number displayed on the status window is the true count.

UH OH!
If items inside a travel pack count against the overall item total, then that's where my problem lies. I have tons and tons of stuff in packs that I use for storage. I will be sure to do vendor item count (radail menu -> status). Also, do you know if the items in the stockroom count against the overall total?
Thanks for the reply Elyssa,
Mugs

Yes, they do.
50 items in a pack = 50 items.
Empty pack = 1 item.

Sure enough. I checked the total number of vendor items on each of my vendors. The total came to 3968 (after several sales today). That was my problem. Thanks for your help Elyssa.

Actually a pack with 50 items in it counts as 51 items, it also counts the pack besides the items inside.
