Hi,

I saw this bit in Holo's post in another thread. Are items for sale on vendors showing up on local bazaars? When did this happen? I had never been aware that this was the way things were supposed to work. Certainly, I have never seen any items in the bazaar that were not bazaar items.. ever..

THanks,

Artuk

Me neither!

And I couldn't read that whole horrid thread, but it didn't appear that anyone questioned him on that statement - so am I missing some great way to get my stuff on the global bazaar????

Or am I just insane?

back in beta, vendor sales actually showed up on bazaar terminals.

however for some reason this was removed in release.

I asked this same question in that thread but never got an answer that I could find. It sounded to me like they "fixed" a grief that doesn't exist? Or else I read that part entirely wrong. I never saw vendor items on the "global bazaar" or "commodities market" either. And thank you Rovani for clarifying when it was a factor, but now I am more confused than ever. Are we supposed to be able to see vendor listings on the bazaar too and it's just bugged or is it afuture feature on TC?

I'm also confused as to whether premium sales really work now or are they still bugged and what the heck does "Novice Merchant ...also has the ability to place control vendors one at a time... mean? What is a control vendor? Is that a missing/bugged feature too or non-existent now or I just haven't figured out how to "place a control vendor" yet? Well, how can I when I don't know what it is?

Glad its not just me. Hopefully this will be explained and/or implemented soon.

Now that I have advertising IV and efficiency IV I have removed my house and vendors. If I was able to have my resources I put for sale searchable from a city, then I would reconsider. Still.. two lots is 20% of my production.. I think it would take a 1 lot store to make me open up again.

Regards,

Artuk

As mentioned above it was very handy having vendor items show up on the global bazaar. The local listing within the cities would not often list vendor items since they were usually far outside of town, however the global listings showed them quite frequently. It was working so that you could purchase an item from a player vendor from anywhere in the galaxy (much like you could do at release with any bazaar terminal sold items) The game would simply email the buyer with a waypoint to your shop, and the buyer would then be able to run over and pickup the item(s) from your merchant.

I never understood why this was taken out(or could this have just been a bug?). It seemed the logical way to have things run for player vendors. It almost seems to hamper sales from player vendors with this game mechanic not currently being in.

The function is no longer in the game, yet Holo used it as an excuse as to why they took Vendors out of Private Houses. This does not sit well with me to be lied to. The second I read it I thought what the hell is he talking about? Since when can merchants list anything on the bazaar from their vendor? It's like they made up a grief as to throw us off, but do they think we are stupid enough to think a grief exists that doesn't? I think this needs to be addressed soon, as they are going to make us wait for some sort of PA Vendor/Storage for months.

You sure it doesn't work? My vendors have a 'this region' option, and I can see what both of them are selling from either one of them. There aren't any other shops around, so I can't tell if it picks up others...

It only works on vendors you own. Customers can only view the items that are on that vendor. And I've searched the bazaar for my own items, and they do not show up at all.

I actually use the "This Region" and "Entire Galaxy" to manage all my merchants. When the vendor has items that "Time Out" (Which they shouldent IMHO) on Tattoine while im on Naboo I can just use the "Entire Galaxy" option and sell the items back from the stockroom.
Works out rather nicely.

Yes, but as stated above this is only viewable to you and no one else. Unless people were griefing themselves Holo is misleading us.

I know, was just stating that I like the "Entire Galaxy" option on our vendors.

When I first read his Message I was also rather confused. First thought that came to my mind was "Its obvious he dosn't play the game."

I cant blame him for not playing it though. If I spent all day answering bugs about the game and getting yelled at for things I have no control of Id probably want to stay as far from it as I could when I got done with my shift as well.

Its like fixing computers for me. I hate to fix my own, I just want to use it. I fix them all day long and get enough of it there.
