Hi i have got a Question:

What does the effectiveness of a food and chemical crafting tool effect? I have two crafting tools with different effectiveness and i made one biological effect controller with each one, but they had the same quality, so what does the effectiveness effect?

Thanks for answers.

At the moment, some people are saying that the quality of the tool can effect the quality of the item, but also controls the chance of failure.

Im not 100% sure, but some people have been reporting that low quality tools make more critical fails than higher quality tools.

In my experience, I get more failures with low quality tools, but I do not have numbers to back it up, but I figure why risk it when it is pretty easy to get a high quality tool.

Soon after the effectiveness of crafting tools was made apparent in their stats, I noticed:

1) an increase in critical failures

2) that my tools were -13

I have since replaced the tools with +7 and my failure rate decreased significantly. Now I only fail when using crap resources.
