Thread: this is the quickest way to org chem IV

This is what I found, it is better than other methods on the forums.

First go to options and turn off destroy and craft verification in miscl. You will make this stuff so fast you will destroy it, not sell it.

Second, make 3 chem craft stations, you will make them faster than 2 craft stations can keep up with

Third, don't make stims, make the bio engineer? thingies for 2 reasons. they are the first item when you call up the craft station so you don't waste time selecting a schematic and they are 6 organic and 6 metal so you can make more for your resources than stim A which uses 8 of each and you get the same amount of craft exp for the BE thingies (if thats what they are, I forget exactly but it's the first schematic) about 35 exp

Fourth, you can OK the crafting steps with the enter key, much faster than the mouse. If you have a programmable stick like I do, I have the F keys and the enter key programmed to it and making these things is very fast and they usually give 35 exp.

Fifth, you make them so quick you will probably want to destroy a lot of them to clear your inventory for more, have the destroy confirmation turned off (but be careful from then on when you click on something you don't want to destroy), right click the item you want to destroy (single click, don't click and hold), then hit the number 2 key (not number pad) for a quick destruct.

This technique saves resources and eliminates a lot of mouse clicks for some fast exp.

True, but then you will have a lot of something you won't be using. if all you care about is OCIV, then that is fine. (Mind you, I did what you suggest in beta to get from OCIII to OC IV).



But, if you want to proceed up the tree to Master Medic and Doctor, it is probably much better to spend a bit more time crafting - making Wound As and B's and StimBs (all of which need that 35XP BEC) and then using them to heal people.



You get almost as good crafting XP, and you gain medical XP to boot (at the cost of more time, more resources and a need for a greater variety of resources).

I am going the CH and BE route so all I needed was the org chem line. Now I still need 10,000 medical crafting to train novice bio engineer. Does anyone know a faster way of getting med crafting then what I have outlined above? Can I experiment to create a BE thingie (can never remember what it is when here, biological effect controller?) that gives more than 35exp and is just as easy to craft?

craft B and C packs and then sell them on the bazaar or to other medics would be my advice...But are you sure there's nothing in ur own lines that you could craft/make to raise crafting xp?

its not only about speed but what u are making..why not make something people can use rather than just making components...I got to master medic in 5 days. Its not that hard to get crafting xp at medic level...doctor level is muccccccccccch slower.

Quickest way for leveling OC up in earlier level is to make the Biological Effects Controller, but after you can make medpack b's you should start making those since just using the components you get an extra 51 exp for crafting. So 35 for BEC, 35 for CRDM, 35 for SDS, 51 for using the components to make Medpack B, and another 55 for Making the Medpack B. Thats 211 experience for one Medpack B using only 4 combines. Then you can use the Medpack B for healing wounds to raise your other medic skills. Master Medic in 2 days here.

With my procedure, I can make a Bio effect controller (35exp) about every 15 seconds. You think crafting B and C stuff will make crafting exp faster than that? And what about materials.

Hi,


I'm surprised no one has mentioned setting up a couple harvesters to do your samples collectinos for you. I think this would have allowed me more time to craft, and I could have gone through Org Chem 4 in one or two days.

I find with the new patch i have less time for crafting cuz i have to run about getting money and power for my harvesters..this patch bites...

July &th patch makes it so harvester will only run at 100% and you cant open hoppers unless the harvester is at 100%. Also harvester now dont run unless u have power in it...the last ones not a big deal since that makes sense..its the first 2 that hurt...

Oh... That's why I couldn't get mine to power back up. That is bad, that makes them too expensive. Why was this changed? Why wouldn't they just degrade a bit?

There are like a ton of threads on "why" they did this, but the jist i got was that harvesters we being abused as disposable. Hence just let it run to like 20% clear he hopper and then rebuilt a new one since harvester were going for lik 1k credits...


So rather then do something like make harvesters stop working at 50% or degrade very quickly, they decided on this route...


There was also a broken thing about harvesters running without power, which was wrong if you thnk about it...now no power means they dont work which makes perfect sense...


They also nerfed survey...you survey once every 25 secs now and action cost has dramatically increased...


They wanted people to rely on harvesters more for massive resource gathering and nerf afksurvey...


But all they did was hurt crafters...
