Thread: paladin type character, question
im building out my character to be a paladin type, going master brawler/fencer (or swordsman maybe havent decided yet) and some skills from scout and medic. i can only afford 2 full lines in the medic profession and was thinking of going first aid IV, and organic chem IV... but now im not so sure. a lot of people seem to like pharmtology, even though it seems worthless to me. and diagnosis seems good (faster healing cycle i belive)... what would you guys recomend i blow the points on?
i would also be weilling to go like full first aid IV, and maybe 2 up org chem and 2 up diag if you guys think thats worthwhile
I'm generally a paladin type player myself. There are several ways to you do this with the SWG system.
1) Master Medic / Master (combat skill of choice)
2) Master Combat Medic / Master (combat skill of choice, typically Marksman skill due to prereqs)
3) Master Doctor / Master (combat skill of choice)
4) Master Doctor / Master Combat Medic / Level 4 of any Marksman tree
Option1 would give you good healing capabilities and leave you skill points for other things like some scout or artisan or entertainer. The others pretty much take up all of your skill points but maximize your healing in different ways. Option4 could be considered more a cleric type depending on how you look at it.
If you're only going to do two lines of the Medic tree, then I'd recommend doing First Aid 4 to maximize how much you can heal and Pharmacology 4 so you can use Stim Cs. You will have to buy Stim Cs from other players, but they provide a nice boost to healling over what Stim Bs can provide.
I'm going with one of the options above myself. I just haven't quited figured out how much of a healer I want to be in the end. I'm generally leaning toward Master Doctor / Master Pistoleer, but I tend to change my mind a lot on the subject.
