Thread: Medics should not be relying on tips
Think of it.. shooting the heck out of npcs and outlasting other marksmans and brawlers because you have the skills to heal yourself better then they do (thats even if the use skill pts in medic tree). If ne of you are on the Eciplse server i would be more then happy to allow you to join me and make bank . IF ya broke ill pay your passage
So far i have grown to love and worship my medic as well as others praising me because they dont see many medics tearing it up like i do and stil healing everyone (if i am in a group) and btw healing the the field is the only way to go once you got enough fighting exp.
I recommend newbie medics team up like i did when i started with another medic so u can kil whatever and keep healing each other thus gaining medical exp hehe. If any medics on Eciplse wanna have a place to just chill message me if u ever come to tatooine and ill let u chill at one of my houses where u can run back in should things get rough for you. i will also soon be getting a personal crafting station so u guys can create stims quick and get that blasted crafting exp.
I dont consider myself the "Expert" but i do know what it is like starting a medic
Make good ppl who give ya resources for ya stims your friends. When starting out have a brawler to help ya and/or a scout that way you have a personal bodyguard
yet that two medic team ( hopefully u two got some marksman skills) combined with the brawleer and scout would soon come to realize that you are a force to be reckon with and yell out " die Rebel.. err Vermins" (sorry my imperial sentiment came out
Dont be shy because i feel that helping one person is more rewarding then 120k tunar

To my friends "I'll heal you "
To my enemies "Prepare to die Vermin muahahhahah"
All of that is really going to depend on what any individual players wants to do with their time. There are plenty who want to play strict non-combatants, so destroy missions are NOT an option for those people unless they group (not always feasible for everyone or maybe something they just don't enjoy doing, so they only do it as a last resort method to make just enough money they need).
They may not enjoy the surveying/sampling process and/or setting up and using harvesters, so that may not be a good option either.
Some folks just like to be self-sufficient so it depends on how they want to concentrate what they do. The idea, really, is that Medic-classes have a hard time making moey strictly within the class. And that is what faolks are trying to figure out. They're not trying to figure out how to make money in the game, they are trying to figure out how to make money AS A MEDIC in the game. And that's the difference.
Another way I've made good money as a Medic outside of the Med Center is to get in a group of dancers in a cantina and just heal up their Action. Again, I get more XP in general than sitting in the Med Center. And the dancers are generally nice enough to give me a share of their tips since I'm helping them to keep dancing. In a large group (8+) of Entertainers I've made a few thousand credits in an hour by doing so.
If a medic want's to stay a non-combatant, but still want's to get out into the world and see things, team up with an artison that's out sampeling. I regularily team up with a friend who's a crafter. While she samples I sample for my med. needs, heal her action wounds, and get exp. She loves the fact that she almost never has to stop sampeling (especially now with the latest nerfs to sampeling).
