Some kind engineer named Icto gave me a medical droid at the Dearic medical center the other day, and I was able to play around with it enough to figure out how to order it around and and name it however I still don't understand their purpose further than following me around and looking cute, can anyone shed some light on this topic for me?

My lvl 1 medic droid allows me to heal wounds outside of camps or med centers. I dont know what the higher lvl droids can do, but healing wounds outside of static camps helps alot ! If the lvl 1 droid has any other uses, i dont know what they are. It doesn't seem to improve my normal healing abilities, but i sure like the little guy

Med droids are great. They allow you to heal wounds outside of the med center. So you can craft and heal wounds at the same time

My r4 droid has a lvl 2 med mod and it provides a small bonus on healing outside the med center...

Btw u know healing in the med center gives you a huge bonus on healing wounds...

I can heal for 100+ wound in the center but only about 75 with the same pack with my med 2 droid at the crafting center

The medical droid makes getting healing exp easy while running deilvery missions. Lots of people tend to congregate at shuttleports waiting for the next shuttle and most of them are wounded to some extent. If I see somenoe hurt, I just bust out the med droid and start healing!

Is there a medical droid that also acts as a crafting station for medecines?

Hey all,

Just a tip that you all probably already know. You can craft INSIDE the medcenter. I make my meds while waiting for customers and sometimes during the waiting interval between wound healings. I thought the best use for a med droid would be to heal wounds in the cantina so that customers would only have to go to one place. Then you could heal damage of entertainers, wounds of patients and craft there during downtime...

I don't have a med droid yet tho... How much do they cost?

yes there is an option to add personal chem crafting terminals to droids, but that very advanced

Elenora - you dont need a medical droid to craft in the med center.The only drawback is that you cannot experiment (that requires you to be atthe terminal).

i didnt say u needed a droid to craft in the center...

having a droid would allow to to heal while crafting at the public terminals...only thing is you lose the healing bonuses giving at the med center...

that way you can multi-task...

once you get a droid with a personal crafting terminal then u can sit in the med center all day and craft while healing...can't wait!

There are a bunch of different modules yuo can put into droids.

Medical = able to heal outside med centers and camps

Crafting (one of the types is food/chem)= able to craft wherever the droid is out (and experiment).

Storage = put stuff in droids (they were bugged and you could put stuff in any droid.. but stuff often poofed).

armor = harder to kill droid.

I never saw most of te higher droids, and none of the advanced models. I assume te bigger droids can have more than 1 module in them.

Yeah, I noticed this the other night when I had been doing buffs outside int he city with my driod, then doing the same buffs in a Ranger's camp. Outside i was enchancing Health or Action for sometimes as low as 80 and as high as 170, but in the camp my low was 150 with a high just over 200 (203,I think it was.) I figured the .85 Heal factor on the camp was helping me out, so that's good to know others have noticed the same phenomenon.
