Medic Archive

I am currently aspiring to become a smuggler/rifleman, but as a Zabarak...I have the worst regen so I decided to put some points in medic to get the basic healing skills. The problem is... I don't know where to begin.

How do I begin to heal myself? Do i need to buy medicine..if so...what kind? How do I heal my health seperately from my action and mind? Do different medicines affect action and mind? If someone could please help me understand the basics..it would be greatly appreicated.
