Thread: Medic a Skill not a Profession?
Okay, so, you get about 800 credits for money for the average player on Mission Terminals, Faction terminals, and etc. if your some type of fighting profession wheather it be Tera Kasi or Bounty Hunter or even Novice Marksman. If your an artisan, you can sell stuff for all sorts of prices and make a great living. And then there are some other little tid bits you can do here and there to make extra cash.
well...so what about Medics eh? Tips dont really cut it for a full blown medic that cant really do anything else except heal people cuz he/she has no sp left. What then? How do you make money then? Medics get lucky if they get 200 from a person let alone 500. 1k is a miracle for them. And i think its rude to demand a tip from someone that just wants to get healed. So i dont ask. I just be nice and hope that i get a tip.
I think developers should do soemthing about this. I havent heard much about the player hospitals really, but medics have to make a living somehow at a constant rate instead of getting VERY random tips and very little money.
That leads into a question i have. With player hospitals coming out, can you charge someone to get healed? Like is it an entry fee? Or is it a fee to get healed or what? Or is it going to be the same as usual?
Thankyou
I went 1cr per wound as a master doc fully capable of 1 shot healing almost any wound - just got me laughed at.
Standard response is to tell people I dont heal now.

I don't do wound healing either anymore. Most people don't tip, and those same people often get angry when asked to pay.
So I just say, "I don't need the XP, sorry" and leave it at that.
