Thread: Any other medics get asked for buffs?

I keep my Master Medic tag up frequently when I'm in the Cantina just to let others know I'm there if they need heals. Does anyone else get consitently asked for buffs as a medic? Am I missing something. My tag says M-E-D-I-C not D-O-C-T-O-R. Someone please clue me in if there is something I overlooked.

When I have any of my medic titles up I'm subject to being asked for buffs, and I've got 12 of them to chose from.

None of them (medic or CM) involve buffs.

Hehe, people are funny. I always keep my MCM tag up, but I guess people are just hoping that Im hiding a MD underneath it. When I tell em that I can buff em, but it will suck (I have a little doc) and they have to pay 5k, Im surprised at the amount of people that still want a sub standard buff.

I get it all the time with my master combat medic tag up, but I think most of them spot the master doctor badge when they examine me. I think alot of players are used to seeing others hide their true professions. I once had someone who was wearing Emergency Technician claim that I shouldn't have killed him (opposite faction, and we were both overt) because he was just a newbie medic. He didn't fool me though, I noticed his flame thrower right away and when I examined him found a master commando badge. I just switched my title to Novice Medic and said "Me too".

Heh I know someone in our guild thatruns around with a Novice Medic tag all the timeand I know its just to throw people off. That jawa ion rifle in his hand usually gives it away though...

Hehe, when I go into PvP I always switch my title to something stupid like Novice Marksman... But I dont think they are fooled for very long after I throw a MCM poison at them while their still over 64m away

I used to try to hide my professions as they just make me a high priority target in PVP. I even had most of my friends trained to never call me 'doc' around Imperials (I'm a Rebel). That didn't last long though.Once I started selling both buff packs and poisons on vendors there was no hiding it.

I have to say I don't think people always understand the tags. I had one of the Doc 4 tags on and watcheda string of people asking the medics for buffs not a single person asked me

Wearing my master medic tag, got hit up for a buff in Mos Eisley this morning.

Was able to heal up some guy who REALLY needed to get some lapdancing in; he was about 90% black on his mind bar.
